I dunno, is there a club/country where biting, stomping and quasi racism is acceptable?

If he bites someone in Ligue 1, he'll get a 2 year ban

Liverpool have responded to comments from star striker Luis Suarez that he wants to leave Anfield this summer, with the Premier League club insisting he is not for sale. A club statement read: "Luis Suarez is not for sale - neither Luis or his representatives have communicated these feelings directly to Liverpool Football Club. The club remains supportive of Luis and expect him to honour his contract. We will not be making any further comment at this stage."

I can only think Real Madrid might put in an offer.
Or maybe Manchester City if they end up selling one or two of their strikers.
I don't think there are other clubs who could afford him and truly need a major reinforcement in their striker department. Atletico don't have the money, I don't think so. Real Madrid are heavily rumoured to seek to offload Higuain and as such would need a striker. Although if they sign Bale that could be the only mega-money transfer of the summer for them.
I don't know, I still hope he'll be with us next season, but his quotes make it pretty clear that he's ready to ask for a transfer if a solid offer is placed on the table.

Ronaldo------Sua------Bale
Looks deadly on paper, realistically they'll all be fighting for the ball amongst themselves and trying to out-do each other.

If Suarez can say he won't miss 1v1's in big games and he won't lose the ball with his dribbling, then he's probably the best striker we can get.
Lewandowski will most likely join Bayern, Falcao apparently doesn't have a clause to join, Cavani is just a finisher, Neymar joined Barcelona and Aguero unfortunately signed an extension.

Cavani is a work horse, but he'd be wasted fighting for the scraps Ronaldo and Bale see fit to leave him.

think about this. Benzema only got 95 shots all competitions this season and Higuain 65... CR7 got over 400AbraKebabra Alacalamb wrote:Cavani is a work horse, but he'd be wasted fighting for the scraps Ronaldo and Bale see fit to leave him.

Looked at Cavani's goals this season and most were poacher goals and pens. Not that it's completely a bad thing, but yeh...
Although I have seen some impressive strikes from him from previous seasons.

Bale will want in on dat action as well.
So between the front 3. I'm thinking 700 shots, well over 600 coming from the wide men.

Yeah if you meant that he's not likely to crack one from 30 yard often I agree. But Cavani is far from a limited player. Give him something that many other big strikers wouldn't consider a chance, and he can find the net.

His finishing isn't bad, imo, that became a bit of a myth the previous season.
He does lose a fair bit of balls when trying to nutmeg defenders, but on the other hand he can create a goal out of thin air. He is defo a notch above any striker Madrid might sign, imo.

Re: If Suarez leaves, which club do you think he'll go to?
13.3% is terrible for a CF... he scored 30 goals on 226 shots this year. His inefficiency is not a myth. That said, he plays more as a SS than a CF like Benzema. But still... he should have more than 5 assists then.
I like Suarez. He's a good player. But as much as a i thought he was underrated last year... i think he is vastly overrated in this year.
His behavior erodes a lot of the good things he does on the pitch.
Liverpool is going to ask for a ransom and he's not worth it at all.

This isn't as straightforward as it looks on paper. He creates more shooting opportunities for himself than most strikers. It's hit & miss stuff, but his unpredictability on the ball more than makes up for his convertion-rate stat, imo.
I'm not saying he's the most clinical striker out there, but he does cause all sorts of problems for the opposition.

I think the latest articles on Espn/sky are just the same one as few days ago. They are all quoting the press conference in Uruguay.

Re: If Suarez leaves, which club do you think he'll go to?
Luis Suarez has no plans to leave Liverpool this summer, his agent has told Sky Sports News despite reports that a deal had been struck with Real Madrid.
The striker was quoted as telling a Uruguayan radio station this week that it would be "very difficult" to turn down Real, fuelling talk of his impending exit.
Stories have also appeared in the Spanish press that Suarez had already put pen to paper setting up his departure from Anfield.
Bernabeu president Florentino Perez gave the story further credence when he admitted Suarez, along with Tottenham's Gareth Bale, was on his radar.
But the player's agent, Pere Guardiola, has told Sky Sports News' chief news reporter, Bryan Swanson, that the forward remains "happy" at Liverpool, has no plans to leave in this summer's transfer window and that reports of a deal agreed are not true.
Suarez signed a long-term deal at Anfield last year and scored 30 goals in 44 appearances last season, but was also banned for 10 games for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
The 26-year-old, who moved to Merseyside from Ajax in 2011, has previously expressed his frustration at perceived criticism from the English media.

Pere Guardiola is Pep's brother right? Then why is Pere not pimping Suarez to Bayern? I'm sure Pep would like his brother to make some money
