Giroud last season (11/12): 42 apps (38 starts) 25 goals PLUS 12 assists.
Negredo had 5 assists this season.

So 42 appearances for both, with Giroud directly influencing 37 goals and Negredo directly influencing 36... why spend nearly 20m on the latter this summer when you already have the former?

Trust me the stats dont tell the whole story, Giroud is at most a squad player at Arsenal.
But I know next year Giroud and injured Sango will be our only strikers.

I don't agree Negredo is better than Giroud personally. I would rather keep Giroud instead of buying Negredo.

The only forwards i am interested in are Jovetic, Rooney, Benzema and to some extent Villa and Benteke

Though I think it'd be an improvement, the difference in ability is too small to justify the money we'd have to pay out to get Negredo.

We should look to spend that money on someone who's actually a top striker, someone with the potential to be or someone who's much more suited to our system. Guys like Negredo and Soldado are last resorts, at most.

Negredo simply isn't much better than Giroud, if at all. You can laugh at Giroud's stats coming from Ligue Un if you want but surely given the amount of business Arsenal have done with that league in the past you lads aren't ignorant enough to actually laugh off another league like that. It would be a fairly sad indictment of the current fanbase if they were so willing to ignore that history and quality on something so shallow and Talkspot-esque.

I am not a fan of Negredo and dont want to spend money on him but I think you are overrating Giroud also.

Never seen a player talk about random speculation like that. I guess since he is on holidays in Kenya it made sense to do so.

I don't think Arsene will buy someone like Wanyama. We do need a powerful midfielder, like Diaby, but if given a choice Wenger might go for Kondogbia.
