They only have to avoid defeat in Dortmund to progress and dump BVB out. Honestly, this sort of game is right up his alley, and with an excited crowd back in Naples, i expect Napoli to get a favorable result vs Arsenal.

Whatever happens, there will be butthurt.

Dortmund gets knocked out--> all borussia and Klopp lovers will be butthurt and people will laugh at them for saying they were CL contenders.

Napoli gets knocked out --> well... no one really said anything good from Rafa Benitez or Napoli, so few butthurt actually. Very Happy

I want Borussia to progress because they can beat Madrid, but the butthurt if they are knocked out would be nice to see.

Fate dealt him a cruel hand. Did a great job, the odds of getting eliminated with 12 points in CL is probably a million to one and fortune didn't favor him.

Some of his players are proper scrubs yet he's got them playing with an organized system we know Rafa well for. I think if he had some better players, he could do some proper damage in CL and in the Serie A.

He screwed up that Dortmund away game with some poor selections IMO. Insigne has been by far Napoli's best player in the CL and he is always on the bench. Inler is also better than Behrami and Dzemaili.

The sole reason Napoli didn't qualify was missing like32904823904u23 chances vs BVB back in September and then scoring that ridiculous own goal in the end to win 2-1 instead of 2-0.

Hopefully they will take EL seriously. Im sure Benitez does, but Napoli have been woeful in that competition recently.

Won against both Arsenal and Dortmund at home and finished on same points as them yet still finished third. Life is cruel sometimes

Hope Benites can improve the backline and midfield. And play 4-2-3-1 instead of 4-4-2

Buying Gonalons and two fullbacks will probably do for them. Maybe another AM and backup striker

Delaurentiis has already hinted that he will not take the EL seriously so I wouldn't get my hopes up that Napoli will do what they couldn't be arsed to do in previous seasons.

“Going directly into the Europa League at the end of a season becomes a terrible waste of money and effort.

“If you are in the Champions League and go into the Europa League, you add more games to your season and at the end if you are lucky can combine the two competitions to put together decent revenue.”

De Laurentis is just arrogant and stupid. I think I would mean a world to the Napoli fans if they would win the EL. I mean they got to be realistic - its better to win the EL rather than crash our in the 1/16 round of CL. Maybe not financially, but when was the last time Napoli won something meaningful? (coppa italia doesnt count)
