We bought them back, we have 100% of Moutinho. At least until we get payed more than 11 M

That explains the situation more clearly, thank you! And yeah, that's a hell of a troll! And the fact that Monaco is purchasing BOTH of these players from Porto is a major factor in Porto being able to troll Sporting this hard correct?

Yeah. I remember back in 2010 we were joking around Moutinho would be sold in a pack with other players so we wouldn't have to pay Sporting anything (since we'd never sell Moutinho for 11 M or less). Turns out we were right Razz

The fun thing there is that originally, Sokratis seems to have had an agreement with Bayer Levberkusen, but Borussia Dortmund usurped that deal, making Rudi Völler go somewhat ballistic about Dortmund playing not quite fair in transfer dealings either XD

It's clearly a fraud of law and I'm pretty sure portuguese courts would fail in favor of Sporting if they sue.

It's clearly a fraud of law and I'm pretty sure portuguese courts would fail in favor of Sporting if they sue.

Depends if the contract is well written. If the contract allows Porto to do whatever they want in terms of transfer fee and there are no Portuguese contract laws broken, there's nothing anyone can do (big fail by the lawyers). Typically, you put a "good faith" clause in every contract to protect yourself. It would be shocking if it's not there.

Sorry if this has been posted, it's yesterday's news, but Nzonzi of Stoke City has had a transfer request denied. He joined only last summer for £3m. I think he's been one of their better players and I toyed in passing in the Liverpool section about us buying him as cover for Lucas. I wonder which club is looking at him if he's gone and handed in a transfer request? Probably not an English club though.

Yeah, the Higuain deal to Juve is dead in its tracks according to a lot of people. Juve lack liquidity to pay the fee and that ended it.
