AS saying deal to Monaco for Falcao is 45 mil fee and 14 mil a season wage for 4 years. Falcao has an option to leave next summer if he wants to.

AS Monaco is throwing an event to celebrate the 2012-2013 season with the attendance of Prince Albert... and the signing of Falcao will be officially announced at the event. Nice Matin, by far the biggest newspaper in the region, is very reliable. So it's quasi-official. Terms of the deal are unknown.

I'm a Ligue 1 fan like i've said a million times. Most of our clubs were on the brink of bankruptcy 2 years ago and many still struggle. Any massive investment that brings superstars and creates superteams is great for the league. It's saving everyone. People everywhere are going to watch league 1 = better sponsors = better media deals = more money for everyone.

I'll support anything that helps the league. But your little mind can't handle that concept obviously. You're used to thinking "small" since you're a Liverpool fan

Next year, will you be rooting for Paris more or Monaco? And why?

If Monaco, get the PSG section changed.

I'm rooting for OM to win the league and any french competition. After that, i'll be supporting every french club in Europe including Lyon because it helps the league.

I'm also hoping that Ligue 1 stays close, the games are entertaining and that people are intrigued enough to watch when they wouldn't before.

Get it or should i draw a picture for some of you?

Sorry... i'm getting attacked by Liverpool fans left and right for no reason. So i'm defending myself. It's only retaliatory to those people. Otherwise, ignore my digs... they are very targeted and are not intended for the entire Liverpool fanbase. I think i've mentioned that i respect Liverpool's history, like the style Rogers plays and think Suarez is a scumbag.

I just feel that Nick shouldn't be attacked for no reason. Suraez should have shut his mouth because he's opening a can of worms even if he didn't mean to. CR7 did the exact same thing with his "I'm unhappy" bs and i ripped him too.

Sports don't get me mixed up with the ones who are taking passive aggressive hits on your support. I don't do that.

I'm genuinely curious in asking you whether you will be rooting for ASM or PSG more, whether for the good of Ligue 1 or personal vested interest.

PSG more than Monaco by a lot.... PSG has a sustainable business model and is doing 1000x more good than i could have ever imagined for french football. Not only are they building first class club, PSG is also building a worldwide distribution and brand for both itself and the league. Every Logue 1 president should be grateful and they are. Just listen to aulas and the others; you feel how appreciative they are despite the obvious competitive disadvantage. But in the long run, i know lyon at least will compete. Aulas is very competent. He built his stadium privately, which is extremely smart. They will be a top club again soon. OM.. i keep hoping lol.

Monaco... i don't know what it is yet. Their stadium holds a max of 18k and they average less than 10k fans. There isn't a swell of untapped support with Monaco. Other than splashing insane cash on transfers, there isn't anything else that we know. To me, it's just a toy for the rich and famous u til proven otherwise. Helps the league though. And i live very close... so even though i don't care if the club wins or loses, i get to go watch radamel falcao, moutinho, etc. on a regular basis. Can't complain about that lol.

Monaco isn't very big though, is it? How many fans can they realistically build a stadium for? The entire place is also built around tourism, is it not? A toy for the rich and famous sounds pretty spot on to me.

We will see if AS Monaco can show something to the world or not.

There is a big buyout clause of 80 mil though i heard and it drops to 60 mil if Monaco don't make CL.
