Man Utd target Marchisio

Italian sites are claiming Manchester United’s interest in Juventus star Claudio Marchisio will be revived this summer.

Ironically, it is the arrival of Paul Pogba on a free transfer from Manchester that could push Marchisio towards Old Trafford.

Pogba’s stunning season has prompted Antonio Conte to change his system so he can accommodate both the French youngster and Marchisio in a 3-5-1-1.

However, Marchisio is not entirely happy in this support role and according to Sport Mediaset he could be considering a transfer away from Turin.

This is certainly not the first time Manchester United have shown an interest in the Italian international, but before now all offers had been turned down point blank.

The 27-year-old grew up in the Juventus youth academy and only had a brief loan spell at Empoli in his career.

His sale would fund numerous other signings, as Marchisio’s market value is thought to be around €30m – approximately £27m.

I wouldn't say he's the heart of the team, not just yet. He's definitely one of the core pieces but I can't place him as the 'heart' of the team. That's Pirlo until he leaves, he keeps the body going

The reason I would sacrifice MARCHISIO is not my desire to bring IBRAHIMOVIC, it has more to do with MARCHISIO himself,

MARCHISIO shoots the ball as much as the strikers, but he rarely score a goal or make an assist...

MARCHISIO has no idea to play on triangles, TIKA TAKA, diagonal balls, none of them he simply pass the ball back and switches to a striker so he can shoot the ball out of the target...

MARCHISIO is no game leader, no ball winner, no goal poacher...

Marchisio has the juventino heart but doesn't have the skills to be our leader,Vidal is far better than him in any aspect:true warrior,great skills and able to change a game with his skills.
Marchisio is not consistent,a game he would be the man of the match and the other game he will miss chances that even a kid would score.
I would sacrifice him for 30mln as long we have Pogba who is better potential and add a profilic striker to our team.

I honestly don't know where people get this trash...How can Vidal be better than Marchisio?
They both play differently despite both being midfielders....

and like u said, this season, then what about last season when Marchisio was Juve's leading goal scorer? was he better then?

Vidal's a fighter for scoring a goal injured?
Marchisio got injured vs Sampdoria and still didn't leave the field, until his body gave in.

Lose chances? Vidal missed 2 penalties this season, one of which wasn't even on target, and if there is a easier chance than a penalty, please let me know, because even a tap in requires alot of reading of the game & keeping up with play...

The point I'm trying to make, before someone think I'm a Vidal hater or something is, THEY ARE 2 DIFFERENT PLAYERS, OF SIMILAR QUALITIES, WHO BRINGS SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO THE TABLE.

as much as i love him on my team, i wouldget over this happening pretty fast.
We have a shit load of talent in the midfield, starting with asamoah who is a box to box as well, and marrone who is having his development stunted. we're going to get a ton of cash for him. and most importantly, i get to see him in the spotlight, how he does in the most hyped league in the world, he'd automatically become their best midfielder probably score a bunch too.

For me Marchisio can be sold for the right price. We already have a ready made replacement in Pogba and don't forget Asamoah who is arguably just as good if not a better player than Marchisio in his natural CM role! Has to be around the 40m mark!

Marchisio is untouchable in my eyes, and I'm fairly certain this is a BS report because I believe Marchisio is untouchable in Juventus' eyes as well.

Marcihsio is doing all the dirty work that's why he is not noticed in our play so much but pay attention to the left wing and see him Vuci+Pirlo making those triangles you just need to pay more attention. Marchisio barley had a rest this season following the Euros not to mention that he played few games injured and now is played out of position he has decent number of assists and the last game he made another one. What makes me angry sometimes us that he thinks to much ... but I Love him.

I would never sell Marchisio as I said for me he is the closest thing to Del Piero in my eyes ( not comparing, I am saying in terms of club Icon and stuff)

Exactly, money is only part of what a club wants. He's the Juve poster boy and will be until he reaches his mid-late thirties providing everything goes relatively well for him.

while i share devi's emotional attachment, mine isnt as strong, and to be honest my view on sports has changed over time. these people are numbers and skills to me, they come, they go, (we sold Zidane, we released Del Piero) they do whats best for them, we do whats best for us. while your here, your family, but if its marchisio's time to go, i wish him all the best, and will definitely be following his career as a fan of his wherever he goes.

Juventus is not a selling club so this is just fantasy about selling Marchisio. We don't need $30 million from his sale to buy Suarez. We have the money to purchase any player we want. It is Marotta's job to negotiate the purchase of players for the best price possible. We did not hire him to raise funds through the sale of our best players in order to get other great players. It doesn't work that way.

We sold Zidane because he was at his absolute peak and Madrid came to us with a crazy offer. We then immediately purchased 2 legends in Buffon and Nedved with the money. No player is untouchable I would agree with that. However $30 million is not crazy money for Marchisio. We would need more than that just to buy Suarez. If Man U offered us $50 million then that is a different story. But even then I'm not sure I would sell Marchisio.

You cannot just buy players and expect to win trophies. Look at Madrid and ManCity. They are the perfect examples of this. Players like Marchisio, Pirlo, Vidal, there aren't many other players in the world you can replace them with. So if you already have them then why sell them?? We already have the best midfield in the world, so why weaken it to strengthen another area? We have the capability to buy one WC striker right now WITHOUT having to sell anyone, so that is what Marotta has to do.

We are NOT a selling club. We will never sell our best players unless a stupid offer comes in. We are Juventus, the greatest Italian team ever. And we are back on top and looking for CL glory. So we are in the middle of purchasing top players, not selling the great players we already have...

funny how everything is accepted these days at a good price...
What Juve need to do is this, keep their midfielders & next season when Pirlo's contract is up, put Pogba in the middle of Marchisio and Vidal...

Marchisio & Vidal is interchangeable for AM, anyone of them behind Llorente or Zlatan will be crazy!
