You know what i mean though, Cazorla and Mata type AMs are what Dortmund need to replace Gotze.

Cesc is totally different, not that is bad just personally its not the type of AM they need.

Arsenal are being linked pretty strongly with Matri + Quags. I find it strange that they'd want to sign both of them considering they don't work well together. But meh, I hope one goes for a sound price.

They don't really need him with Cazorla and Wilshere already there. Unless of course Cazorla moves out wide.

you couldnt even repacle Gotze even if you tried, unless you "make" a new player on that model. how many AMs move as much and attack as much as Gotze? i would tell you that the Cazorla and Mata are not as damaging attacking wise as Gotze, regardless of the numbers of assists and what not. Gotze is like an attacker playing in midfield with all the intelligence of a n10.

Of course Nick but you can try to as much as possibly can.

To me Eriksen and Isco are the best players style wise for the job.

I think the AM in Dortmund's system need to be as mobile as humanly possible and to me Cesc isn't mobile enough.

If we ever play Robben as a RWB I will take a picture of myself wearing an up to date Inter top with Materazzi on the back, and a denim mini skirt.

But seriously if we get Robben that would mean Conte wants a 4-3-3/4-2-2-2/4-2-4 type formation because no way would we get Robben for depth. My biggest problem with not playing 3-5-2 is one of Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzagli get dropped. Doesn't make any sense to change the best quality of the team to help with the worst one (upfront)

And Chiellini at LB can't offer anything going forward, I feel safer having him stay back.

EDIT: Maybe Conte would let Robben play in a sort of free role behind a striker. But I don't know if he could.

I agree I would love options. But our main strength is in our back line, and asking one of them to have bench role doesn't make sense to me.

Carlo would give RM a decent shot at La Decima would he not?

And Mou has been pretty awful in the league, Carlo can't to much worse. Maybe Carlo would ditch the constant counter attacking which should really be a plan B for such a big club. Carlo gets too much grief.

Only in GL he does. Outside he is praised for what he is. Bizarre forum it is sometimes.
