If Dortmund can put away their chances they have a shot.

The funny thing is Dortmund were actually efficient vs us in the group stages(too much for my liking). Hopefully they won't this time

Not the tie I wanted but meh I'll take it with hopes of revenge against Bayern on the biggest stage, or an El Clasico final ( )..
What's with all this 'Bayern are on another level' crap?.. They're a really good team but that makes them sound unbeatable..

Compared to previous seasons and compared to Real Madrid/Barca this season, I think they're on another level. They're an all round solid team. Defensively, possession wise, tactically, pressing etc.

Re: Champions League: Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund discussion
Dortmund is the easiest team Real Madrid could have possibly drawn from the remaining semifinalist. I'd have preferred to play the first leg at home though, win with a clean sheet and counter them to death in the away fixture.
I think the team is in a much better shape than when the two met in the group stages, Casillas is now on the bench and Essien no longer plays left back, there's still the small problem of the two strikers but I believe 60 minutes of Benzema and 30 minutes of Higuain per match can do the trick.
There are no easy games at this stage, but I'm very confident Real Madrid would be heading to Wembley barring a major surprise.

Funny thing i saw on Unamadridistas' blog, on the way to winning the seventh Real Madrid beat BVB in the semis, on the way to winning the eighth, Real Madrid beat Bayern in the semis and on the way to winning the ninth, Real beat Barca in the semis. If you believe in omens, they don't get better than this, la decima could soon be a reality.

It goes without saying that Dortmund should not be underestimated.
So I won't say it.

I am not hoping for more than qualifying on away goals to be honest, I see alot of luck this year but not enough determination. The zone outs against both Manu and Gala were shocking.

The game is in three day's time from reports Essien, Marcelo and Arbeloa are definitely out due to injury or suspension. Modric and Coentrao are doubts. This will be my starting 11.
Lopez
Ramos - Varane - Pepe - Coentrao
Khedira - Alonso
Di Maria - Ozil - Ronaldo
Benzema
Higgy could also start or come on after 60 minutes where his movement can really cause some damage.

Re: Champions League: Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund discussion
I know Ramos has been error prone this season, however I'd prefer him to Pepe at CB. Pepe's usually's too error prone in big games. Also Essien's probably more solid at RB than Ramos is.

Essien won't be fit so it's going to have to be Ramos at RB it seems.
