A real favourite player of mine and I'm hoping he makes a move to one of Europe's best clubs.
Would love to see him bossing Serie A with Milan.
A quick summary from what I understand is that the price may have been negotiated down to around 30 million euros, with an agreement to be made after the Copa Libertadores Final, pending the opening up of a non-EU slot either through Taiwo acquiring a French passport or the Italian FA relaxing the rules to allow an extra player to be signed during the transfer window. A transfer may occur in January if these conditions aren't met before the summer window closes.
As far as I know the discussion concerning price and the willingness of Santos to sell Ganso at this stage aren't backed up by quotes, so in a sense we're dealing with truth by consensus from sources "surrounding" the clubs. Galliani has confirmed interest but not a bid, but has been very diplomatic when discussing Ganso, possibly to distract from the deal or possibly out of respect for Santos.
I haven't been searching for news of the transfer recently though so my understanding may be skewed or inaccurate, so if someone else has anything to add concerning verifying the claims made about Ganso with quotes I'd be interested as well.

Also is anyone else getting the feeling of an El Shaaraway signing coming up?
But i just feel he could be loaned or co-owned with us
Genoa having been giving us A LOT of their players in recent years and (overall) haven't been coming out better
So them straight up selling us their next up and comer (who has interested Inter) and the next potential superstar of the Azzuri and Serie A,
Genoa would definitely want to still have a say in the kids future beyond next season

Paolo Berlusconi: "To sell T.Silva we'd need to be offered enough to buy four like him" Maybe Barca could buy one of those four instead...?

Galliani: "I wasn't surprised when I heard that Barcelona are interested in Silva. He's the best defender in the world, so it's normal that the best team in the world wants to sign him. I saw all of this coming. That's why I renewed Silva's contract to 2016."

Oddo at Milan’s disposal
football-italia.net
Massimo Oddo says he would be willing to leave Milan this summer, but nobody has come forward for his signature.
“I have a contract with Milan and I’m just focusing on being ready for pre-season,” the 35-year-old noted.
“However, if the club told me that I was no longer needed then I would consider some other options.
“Nevertheless, up until now, I haven’t heard from anybody. I have a year left on my contract and I will just respect that.”
The right-back, who won the 2006 World Cup with Italy, was rarely used last season after making just seven League appearances for a total of 433 minutes.
“I always look to be at the disposal of the Coach,” he added. “I would have liked to have played more, but I was always ready when called upon."

Galliani: There will be a single purchase & it will be in late August.
Galliani ( On El Shaaraway): "I'm glad he's a fan of AC Milan. We'll see if there is a future move possible".
Galliani: "Kakà won't return to Milan. 100%. Not even on loan, because the problem is also his salary."
Galliani (On Marco Borriello): Roma will certainly redeem him
Galliani (On Ganso): "I'm not going to see him as he will not play in the Libertadores"
We still own 50% of Merkel, but he will be playing for Genoa next season.

Mexes targets September return
football-italia.net
New Milan defender Philippe Mexes is hoping to be back in competitive action by September.
Mexes hasn’t played since he damaged knee ligaments in Roma’s home defeat to Juventus last April.
Talking to RMC Sports, the Rossoneri’s Bosman summer signing admitted that he hopes to be available for France’s September 2 clash against Albania.
“I have to admit that I am thinking about that game,” he said. “I want to be there and I’ll do all that I can to make it.
“I’ve been in Toulouse for the last two months working on my rehabilitation. I’m just focused on being fit again as soon as possible in order to play alongside my teammates.
“The season at Milan will start on July 12. At the moment everything is going well. I’m doing my best to get back into action quickly.”

ALEXANDER MERKEL is now partly owned by Genoa, reports suggest.
It’s a never-ending love story between Milan and Genoa as another deal has been struck between the sides – that will see Alexander Merkel joining the Rossoblu on co-ownership – reports Sky Sport 24.
AC Milan chiefs Adriano Galliani and Ariedo Braida met with Genoa President Enrico Preziosi last night and decision regarding Merkel’s future had been taken, as he will be playing for Genoa next year.
Merkel will not be alone as Giacomo Beretta is co-owned by Genoa too and will be with him.
There were rumors that the German midfielder will be joining newly-promoted side Novara but it appears that Merkel, who turns 20 next February, has chosen to join Genoa instead.
Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
RICCARDO MONTOLIVO’S chances of joining Milan are very low, says his agent.
There are reports in the peninsula that Milan are planning a move for Fiorentina Captain Riccardo Montolivo and according to il Corriere dello Sport, Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri even met him this week.
However, Giovanni Branchini, the agent of the 26-year-old regista, who has become a regular for the Italian national team, says that he doesn’t believe that Montolivo will be playing for the Rossoneri next season.
“For Riccardo, there are requests, mainly from Italy, I’m working to find suitable place. Milan want him? It’s almost impossible to make this deal as the two clubs have chilly rapport,” he told Sportitalia.
Inter and a host of European clubs are also interested in Montolivo.

So pissed off about Merkel co-ownership, we'll spend another $10mill to buy him back when he peaks

Yeah seem's like he will be coming.
AC Milan have captured Genoa playmaker Stephan El Shaarawy on a €6 million joint ownership deal.
Sky Sport Italia claims Milan CEO Adriano Galliani, and Genoa president Enrico Preziosi struck the accord on Tuesday.
El Shaarawy recently revealed he dreamed of joining Milan and is now said to be speaking with the Serie A champions to finalise his contract
He was on loan at Padova last term, but will be expected to link up with the San Siro outfit once the deal is complete.
It will be the club's third transfer of the summer following moves for Philippe Mexes, and Taye Taiwo.
Earlier, it was reported that Genoa signed 19-year-old midfielder Alexander Merkel in a similar deal.

I think while this is a good, positive move, don't expect him to make an instant impact or be in the starting line-up.
And I don't care much for Merkel. he has a very long way to go before he's a great player. I'm unsure about Sharaawy though.

As someone who wants Napoli to finish second to us next season, not that it will happen, I'd be against sending them Bonera. Bonera is fine for a team like Cagliari who can afford mistakes, or even a team which simply needs the depth like Lazio or Genoa as I think you mentioned before, however Napoli will be possibly the weakest team in their Champions League, they need to take real, tangible steps forward not settle for the status quo.
Actually they may be forced to sign a real good defender or two now... why? Campagnaro may be going to jail. He's been charged in a fatal car accident in Argentina. I'll be against sending Bonera there too.

Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
yeah, seems the move is almost official now and that's great but we still need 2 more midfielders to be able to compete with the likes of barca and madrid in CL next season..
as many here have stated, ganso is a must!, el shaarawi is too young to be counted on, he's one for the future. ganso is a must, i have full trust in galliani and i believe he knows what he's doing..
as for the montolivo rumours, i hope they're false!, he's not milan's quality and he's very unconsistent. pretty average player IMO, de rossi is much better if we can het him...
