Would you take Alex Song back?
I would take him back, but not for the same price.
What you guys think? Daily Express is saying he is Wengers top target.

Re: Would you take Alex Song back?
Part of the reason we sold him was because of his attitude. Don't think we will take him back
We do need a player like him, but someone better. Barca wouldn't sell him if he was good enough

Get Gonalons or Capoue or even Diame. Song chose this path, let him rot in it

He knows our system better than any player we sign, would rather him than anyone else.
Remember Song and Arteta? I dont think we lost a game when both were playing.
I think Song can be disciplined player if Wenger wants him to be.

No, thanks he is more interesting in attacking than defending.

Don't you think, Wenger allowed him to be so?

if he played against spurs on sunday, he would have been the least clueless of our midfielders, either by shooting the damn ball or giving a proper through pass

I remember Song and Arteta very well, they were good at times but also very bad at times (defensively speaking)... remember Norwich at home, Spurs at home etc... I agree about the latter part but we can't expect Wenger to make that happen can we? We should get a DM who's only concentrated on breaking the opponents play and distribute the ball fast for counters, his job should be that simple - he won't have to be a creative maniak.
If there weren't other options I would consider but there are many options like Capoue, Wanyama, Bender, Gonalons and many other options to get who I think could do the job as good as Song could do or maybe even better. I wouldn't be concerned about the player fitting in, if Arsenal buy quickly the player will have a whole summer to learn our system.

I aggree with that, one quality about him is he take risk in the final third. At the moment all we do is pass, pass, pass and no one tries to take a risk with that final pass

They are all good options, but will Wenger spend? even if we do buy one of them and Song wants to come back I would take him back.

i thought these players were going to be seasoned into league winners. i guess you want new players and club wants the money. win win both ways. i wonder what fergie would do ? he would get falco and win the premier league again.

Sagba is past it mate..
Vermalen is NOT BETTER THAN KOS
Gibbs has pace, (Monreal no get erm)
ramsey? bench material
Arteta, needs a rest

no vermalen ? I would keep him but no as Captain anymore.
no monreal ? He has to fight Gibbs, I think Gibbs has a edge over him for now.
no ramsey ? Loan deal.

I forgot about Monreal.
You cant tell me this team wont compete for EPL? I would bet big money to win it.

Re: Would you take Alex Song back?
Raptor,
we also need a severe mentality checkup if we want to compete..
I could go on, but I just remembered every end of season we Arsenal fans have this talk of how good we should be next season

I am not saying who is better etc etc
ALL i said " i am tired to see arsenal sell their stars every season " Its all about keeping the team together. If RVP and Song were still at arsenal we would have been atleast 2nd place. Xcept United every team has been shit this season.

We should only sell the deadwood, Selling players from the starting line up will only take us backwards.
Vermaelen is going through a rough time no need to sell him imo, its better to keep him and give him better protection from the midfield.
