I'm hoping for some changes. Allegedly, both Cesc and Xavi played without being fully fit in the last round (all the more reason to start Villa one would think, but whatever), so perhaps they will sit this one out or be subbed in/off. Not sure if Adriano is fit yet, but if so I'd like him as well. I'll be happy with a Villa start.

A win would give us enough confidence to tackle Milan.

I dont know what to make of this game.

Usually when I come to think about the outcome of games, half of it is tactics and match up..the other half is the mental state of the players.

I think right now, they must be incredibly low. They way they lost to Madrid was pretty bad, in that they didnt do a whole lot wrong..the players out there mostly did what they could, but they let in some of the softest goals...the 2nd one was just an aimless ball forward which just so happened to find Di Maria..

Anyway, I disgress..the mental state of the team is bad and no matter what 11 Madrid put out there, its going to be a struggle.

I expect we control the game, have alot of the ball again...but the question is, will we actually create? We require forwards for this, we require the sort of off ball movement I aint seeing anymore.

We have gone so far away from our actual philosphy..what we are suppose to be doing out there....theres like 10 different things I could mention we need to do better, probably more than 10.

Somehow we need to overcome all of this.

You're going to see 75-80% non starters from Madrid imo. We have Man U second leg coming up and there's no need to risk anything on this game... probably the least interesting clasico i can remember.

Still going to be a fun game regardless.

I doubt it. Man U game is the most important one of the year so far and it's right about 72 hours after the clasico (Saturday clasico and then Tuesday CL game). I think everyone rests. If the CL game was on Wednesday, i'd agree with you.

Barca bring their A game? You guys both know that will not happen..we are not even capable of our A game at this point anymore.

You could play that 11 and I will wager it will still be competitive.

then why are Barcelona based newspaper saying he got a doctors visit at home and missed practice on Wednesday saying he had a fever.
Today (Thursday) Barca had a day off from training so he is expected back tomorrow but even then I think it'd be smarter to rest him for a more important game, such as the Milan one.

Don't think Ronaldo will miss the Clasico. Mou and himself have too much pride to no play in such a big game...

I got a feeling Mou plays a total weak side vs us, not caring about the league and already beating us at home to reach the Copa Final...that he won't risk having a fatigued squad vs Man Utd 3 days later.

If Mou plays strong starting side against us then Man United will win pretty comfortable. If we don't win against a weak Madrid side then Roura should just give up on coaching...
If we play the same side as the Madrid game on Wednesday then I will literally kill myself...

This is the second time this season that a Khedira "hoof" has lead to a goal in Clasicos tbf.

first half goes up as soon as second half starts so about 15 mins after the match second half would be up
