We did get dominated pretty bad in the first half of the last one. Semedo should really help out, especially in defence, Roberto was hilariously bad at defending in that half. Need Dembele to start too, Carvajal and Varane are injured which means Hakimi/Lucas will start at RB . Also there can be no bigger confidence booster than performing against RM. Hopefully we are motivated enough, especially Messi.

There should be no problem with motivation. It's Madrid and they have been classless with the pasillo incident. The players will be up for it.

In what world is Semedo shit? Roberto got destroyed time and again by a 33 year old Ronaldo, while Semedo has been a revelation in defence. We have to nullify the left side, that much is obvious. Dembele is on poor form, so not that big a deal for sure.

Semedo is no slouch in the creative aspect though, he almost had an assist today too.

Up until the 2nd goal I was sure that RM would score again, but Valverde has parked now. RIP the last vestige's of Pep's Barca.

Moral victory

Madrid are as unlikeable as ever.

With the league wrapped up it wasn't a must win, especially after Roberto went mad. I'm pretty happy with this result, especially seeing a 10 man Barca have better chances and better play in the second half.

Only takeaway is that we can play godly if we are motivated enough. Messi was chasing and harrowing everyone while creating insane chances. IF we manage to hit such levels of passion/motivation next season I very much look forward to it. Also Semedo is the clear choice of RB now, no questions. His speed, dribbling and short passing are on the same level, if not higher, than Roberto's. Defensively it's not even a fair comparison.

Robert has always been solid going forward, basically plays as another midfielder to help hold the ball etc, and has always been exposed by fast creative wingers because lets face it....he is being played out of position and he isn't fast. So if he's basically playing as a RB that floats forward and plays as a midfielder then all good but now he is doing dumb sht, getting 2 reds in like 2 weeks. Semedo should start ahead of him for the remaining 3 games.

Couldnt be more proud of the team, we were lacking in many areas and obviously the unjust red card, but I couldnt believe we actually outplayed them for the most part and could have won, their second goal was only a wonder striker otherwise a win even under the circumstances.

I think during some other team or if it were other teams it would have been easy to just give up, but the team stuck to it and kept pressing up so much and to attack, which is always the best way rather than sit and defend, tbh we cant do that very well anyway

This was the last home game for Iniesta I think cant believe he went off so early, 57th min... Paulinho did good but that missed pass in the end just another reminder that he is just a make swift midfielder for us, we need better.

So one last game and we will achieve the unbeaten record season.

Come to think of it if only we didnt completely blow up vs Roma second leg, and went through, we could well be in the final vs Real not, and winning it, could have been such an amazing season, and its unfortunate just that one night fked it up...

Im not that optimistic, this game we were way to open and Real has so many easy positions to create chances from, and if Ronaldo were still on the 2nd half Im sure they would have been more clinical, etc. Iniesta will be gone, so unless we get someone new in, our midfield is still gonna be shit next season.

No thankfully it was not. It was only his last El Classico. Barcelona have three more games to go - Villarreal (H), Levante (A) and Real Sociedad (H). Iniesta does not look fit at the moment and I don't think he will start all these games but I do hope he starts the last one and comes off only at the very end. That will be his last ever game for Barcelona and fortunately it will be at Camp Nou.

Don't know what match you are watching. His passing is worse than Roberto. He has a moth's intelligence compared to Roberto. Roberto has a CM's attributes, much like Dani Alves. With someone like Pep as coach he would be the undoubted starting RB in this team.

Semedo has physical attributes, strength and speed and a good first touch. But that is where it goes downhill. His defending is dogshite apart from 1v1 battles. He loses markers constantly and doesn't look behind. Lacks intelligence going forward, all he does is pass and move, he doesn't read the game like Roberto does, he has a very narrow vision of the game. His final balls have been bad. Look at how he screwed up that chance, an easy pass and not only he overhit it, he displaced it too. Also his passing is no close to Roberto's who is one of the better passers in Barcelona.

Roberto isnt going to win me over with stuff like that. Not a good enough player for a team of this calibre.

I am sure they see him like Bayern do Kimmich, young national kid who gives his all. But unlike Kimmich, Roberto is not talented. Full of running and effort but lacking in special quality. Sadly I can see him continuing in the 11 because we lack other homegrown players.

Overall, I see the same as most of the season. We are playing now to keep the unbeaten record, so the draw is a good result in that context.

Rode our luck at times, but also showed quality at others.
