Ok, pretty simple. I have a list of players here that i would like you to judge. Just explain briefly what you think of there Arsenal career so far. This has nothing to do with what's going on with the club right now or anything, i'm just curious.

Arshavin -
Vermaelen -
Ramsey -
Rosicky -
Gibbs -
Szczesny -
Giroud -

Arshavin: World class talent but he is sloppy, Lazy, unfit, also lacks consistency.

Vermaelen: Started well got injured then lost form. Has been struggling for form this season. Some people say because his carrying an injury.

Ramsey: Started well then suffered a career threatening injury, talented player who need a bit of time to improve and learn what type of player he is

Rosicky: World class but he is injured most of the time

Gibbo: Has the potential to be a good player whether he fulfils that potential all depends on his injury problems

Szczesny: has showed the potential to be a world class goalie but needs to focus more during games, I feel sorry for him because he is often let down by his back four. The game against Bayern munich is an example of that.

Giroud: Showed some decent stuff this season but he is not the type of striker we need.

Arshavin
class player.. but he never was able to have an influential position at Arsenal.. average at the wings.. and not a Premier Leahu CF.. unlucky that we dont play a support striker and the CAM was always Cesc.. successful signing who made instant impact but later faded away..

Vermaelen
Just erase this season from his career.. very good signing.. aggressive fast defender with a knack of scoring vital goals.. has a tendency to advance but makes up with his pace and tackles.. and strong in the air.. passionate and the leader at the back..

Ramsey
very promising youth player.. got injured.. and he has taken it too long.. probably he has had more chances than other youth players.. he just needs to keep things simple and play with a cool head.. has looked good when relieved of the creative burden.. if he doesnt turn out atleast to be a good squad player, it will be Wengers mistake for wasting so much time and matches for him..

Rosicky
Great start.. injured.. took long to recover.. still keeps getting injured.. but has looked class whenever he is on the pitch in the recent seasons.. another top signing.. sad that his career never reached the heights he deserved because if injuries.. he can start for Arsenal for atleast next season..

Gibbs
Wenger placed his trust on him.. and he has not let him down.. integral part of our attacks and great stamina and tackling defensively.. his marking and positioning is not good.. but he can improve.. only thing stopping him is injuries...

Sczeny
he is all about confidence.. but his concentration is poor at times.. needs some competition to get the best out of him...

Giroud
a very good orthodox CF.. people have doubts over him only because of some poor finishing.. we just need to cross better to him.. and he holds the ball well, threat from set pieces, sets up chances for others, good movement and good defending set pieces.. what more you need.. i cant find any logic dropping this guy and trying Walcott, Podolski, etc at CF.. we just needs to play him.. once he gets his confidence, he will be unstoppable...

Arshavin. Class player played out of position. Always played in a 'Bergkamp' type role all his career. Everyone moaned when he was played out wide and forced to track back. He's never done that, so why were we surprised? A wasted talent. 6

Vermaelen. Very confused at his loss of form. Baffling. Expecting him to pick his game up. He is class. It may be an injury or the captaincy. He will come good again.

Ramsey. Not good enough for Arsenal. 5

Rosicky. Class. A bit too injury prone. 6.5

Gibbs. As Rosicky. 6.5

Chez. Will come good. He's still very young for a keeper. Not many in the world better than him at the same age. Keep the faith in The Chez. 6.5

Giroud. Too early to say. Has done well for a first season. We don't play to his strengths enough. When we do he scores goals. We need a top class striker for next season. I would keep Giroud, but as a squad player/impact player. 7

I'm basing the numerical grades (1-10) are on the Arsenal career to date, not necessarily reflections of how good the player is overall, or could be one day - just to be clear.

Arshavin - great technique and creativity, had some great games & moments, and could occasionally light a real spark, but not enough of a workrate much of the time. It was a bit of a catch-22 because it seems like lack of playing time simply hurt him more, but Wenger couldn't afford to tolerate (or reward) his failure to bring it when given the chance. In a more stable, slightly better Arsenal over the last few years, woulda been a terrific luxury player to have. 5.

Vermaelen - not a world class defender, maybe not the best choice for captain, but still a good defender, and a decent choice for a team captain. Overall I think he's very good ball-playing defender who's come up with some very important goals for the club. Hmmm ... 6.5 or so.

Ramsey - a truly terrific-looking prospect when he broke into the first team, then that awful injury happened. He came back from it tentatively, then more or less had to try to fill a lot of the gap left by Cesc in late 2011. So 2012 was disappointing - he became fatigued, and then earlier this season often played in a position where he wasn't comfortable, he had a bad tendency to over-complicate things. But in the last couple months he's done really well when called upon and I think and hope that long dip in form is over and he's on his way to being a real contributor for the team. Great mentality, too - never has backed down or used his injury or playing out of position as an excuse to go hiding from games. He deserves some credit for that, even among people who still don't think he's good enough. 6.

Rosicky - a really classy player whose career was blighted by too many injuries. I don't really expect it but I'd love Arsenal to just keep him until he retires. 6.

Gibbs - injuries (yet again!) are a serious concern, but Gibbs is a really good attacking full-back who's come up big in certain defensive plays. Recall that tackle against WBA that more or less kept Arsenal in the Champions League last season. 6.

Szczesny - dude needs to find consistency, there are plenty of things he needs to work on, but I think he has great potential and I love the fact that he loves the Arsenal. A sometimes-iffy, usually-good keeper who may turn into a great one. 6.5.

Giroud - considering that it's his first season in a new league, for a new club, playing for an attack that has really had to start from scratch, I think he's done quite well. Contributes a lot to play and a lot of times he's just a little off with his positioning or finishing. Some of it's down to him, and he can work on it, but some of it isn't his fault and he'll get better with better service & teammates who continue to know him more and more. I agree with the opinion above that he'd be a great impact player or back-up forward. 7.
