Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
What is it with you and Florentino, really? Can't you just accept the fact that some people don't like him, and for very good reasons?
What is with this new founded cult on GL where anybody who dares criticize him gets immediately surrounded by a pack of angry fans?
You don't like what I'm saying? Tough shit, look the other say or swallow it. I won't stop criticize him.
You think everybody is a delusional, ass kisser here? And you have the nerve to come at me because he signed a Bayern player on a free and renewed Lucas fucking Vasquez?
Seriously get the fuck off your high horse. Florentino, in my opinion, is no longer the right man for the job. His signings are wrong, his scouting department is crap and his whole transfer policy is a fucking joke. And top it all, he comes with a Super League that made Madrid the laughing stock of Europe.
So go bury your head in the sands and pretend that every thing is all sunshine and rainbows, and let me express my fucking opinion without trying to shut everybody who dares criticize your precious man.
FUCK FLORENTINO

Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
Well I didn't say you can't express your opinion, as you obviously have been doing over and over and over again. you are entitled to do so as am I.
I guess we are just going to have to hear your repeated opinion time and time again (just like Chad), for at least the next 5 years as Flo will be around at least that long. And don't expect the successor to be any different.
I have been a supporter much longer than Flo has been around and probably longer than you have been on this earth. Just because I have a different opinion doesn't mean that I am blind to things.
One thing that I do have, that obviously you don't is a financial background. I say this as it's obvious from your repeated criticism that you have no clue as to the financial implications of a lot of your statements.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
First of all, I apologize for my previous post. I read it again and it was rude of me to speak to you that way. I got a little carried away and I shouldn't have. So I apologize for my behavior.
As for the rest, I think you forgot that I hadn't posted in the Madrid section for a long time prior to the Zidane's news, and that I had been mainly posting in the general section in CL-related topics or other Madrid non-related issues. I only started mentioning Florentino again after the news of Zidane leaving came to surface. It was inevitable not to mention him because he was at the center of the issue. The second time I mentioned him was over Carlo's appointment. And again it was inevitable.
So you may be under the impression that I'm constantly talking about him, but you're wrong.
I used to support him and like him a lot. But his decisions that resulted in Madrid buying overpriced kids and never using them, and stubbornly sticking to a transfer policy that is producing more failed transfers than good ones, made me stop blindly supporting him.
My opinion of him can change overnight if he plays his cards right. So don't think that I have a personnel problem with him because I don't. I just don't like his current version of his.
As for the financial background, I'm sure you know more than me about the ins and outs of the club's financial state. But it doesn't take a genius to know that Madrid is going through very tough financial times currently, that's why I don't expect Madrid to get Mbappé or Haaland. We simply can't afford them.

Not a bad hire.
BUT, unless Madrid get better players, he will sink.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
IIRC Carlo is bad in the league and focuses on CL more?
If so thats welcome by us since then it might just mean one less competitor for it, and no hopes for the CL for us anyway, so let Real go for it instead (and fail of cos)

Yeah he's bad in league. I only recall 1 victory against Barca Ina Liga, and I don't recall a victory over Atletico in the league either...

Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
Weird rehire Carlo is ok, now that cr is gone maybe he can actually coach the team properly, as long as he doesn't play the same team every week and ostracize half the squad, would personally like a new face or Solari again, but let's see what happens.
There is no better president for the club than Flo, don't see what there to argue about, once the club is stable again, he will set down or be a vice president.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
Disastrous appointment.
Carletto kickstarted their UCL victory streak and made that team but he was taken off with an underwhelming second season with the squad in their prime and with CR.
In not a single way is the squad any better than they were at that time, and well past it. Each and every player bar Benzema's Renaissance. Not to mention no CR.
Cristiano and Carlo were close and he used him the best of all of them so he is taking the helm of a team that is carried by Karim and no prospects for big signings.
Plus he isn't winning the Liga either.

Not sure i understand, Carlo is a disastrous signing because the squad is not as good? Any manager we would have signed would be starting from this point with an aging squad in transition.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
Carlo plays his best 11 to death... which isn't much of a problem right now since Madrid has no bench. But that's the reason he has trouble in league play. Nobody else is ready to play bar the top 11.
I think it's going to be a shame because the first 11 at Madrid, barring any transfers, is mostly past it. I'm not sure Madrid even has a legit starting 11... i see maybe 6 out of the 11.
This isn't the type of squad Carlo does well with. But then again, he may surprise us. He is an excellent manager imo.

Didn’t this squad make it to the CL semis? I love how that’s brushed aside so easily lol

Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
It did... ZZ is a far better motivator and leader than Carlo however. Carlo is the better tactician as long as it fits his 442 (which, with Valverde, it might). And everyone worthwhile is past 30 years and every single year gets harder. Especially with the Euro and Olympics, I don't see older players doing well next season for any club. Also, you can't expect Benzema to carry the scoring load like this every year.
Alaba is not an upgrade over Varane or Ramos... and I'm assuming one or both leave. Much more reinforcements (of quality) needed.

League wins in France, Germany, England, Italy and now Spain. Not bad at all from a guy that "flopped at Everton".

But he isn’t a coach for league championship!
But he stubbornly refused to rotate players!
No way Carlo should be the coach next season!

Didn't he win the league way before final match day with a terrible squad?futbol_bill wrote:But he stubbornly refused to rotate players!

Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
Not a terrible squad, a very thin squad (only 18 players used) the other 7 are indeed terrible.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
Some achievement, n also very strange since he had a reputation of being poor in league titles n good in CL wins
Although really, Real had next to no comp. for this league wins...

Though there was a time where I thought Carlo was finished... but that was in 2013.
And to think we'll only get stronger next season. Much to look forward to.
Re: Carlo Ancelotti next RM manager watch
Carlo gets heaps of praise but lets not forget that Mourinho was the precursor to Madrid's great era, he managed to win the league against prime Barca and effectively kickstarted the cycle.

My man Im a legit fan of Carletto & have flown his flag for a while now. I am just highly critical of him.
Nowhere in this post is disrespect to the Italian but mere skepticism since he has gotten very stiff in his ways over the years.
He's a 3 time UCL winner he deserves respect no matter what, even if he is just plain bad at leagues to which he IS.
Carlo is frustrating but pulls through in big games given his set-ups and does indeed deserve praise for reaching the UCL semis, winning the league convincingly.
Will be much more difficult next season with Xavi's Barça in 5th gear.
