Get rid of that thing where when you hit a through ball the striker jumps over the ball and loses all speed and chance of getting the ball.

Or when a player takes ages to run with the ball after a through ball, allowing the defender to catch up.

Yes why is that even a thing if it NEVER works.
Looks cool but they jump over and poof all chance of that beautiful through ball is gone.
Happens on Pro clubs way to often.
Speaking of which... you guys wanna play my club like last time?

Also, get Martin Tyler to do some of this:
Also, any kind of option at the end of the game where you can tell your players to "get forward we can nick it here" would be nice.

Re: FIFA 14 discussion
Take this one step further and just have all of the players from past FIFA's with a FIFA 14 engine. E.g. so you can select 2006 and all the squads, players stats and kits are changed to 2006.El Shaarawy wrote:I think it maybe like replaying old-legendary matches, i.e. Germany-Italy 2006

Re: FIFA 14 discussion
lol, what irks me is when you wait til the last second to make your subs and the other team has done so as well so you have to stare at a player from both sides for a while before both subs get made, seperately. If they deaded that I'd gladly take the high 5ingfatman123 wrote:McLewis wrote:My changes would be primarily with Career mode. It's a mode that is more than just about playing games. It should be as authentic an experience as possible. It's getting there, but still not quite there -
- Actual, real Primavera/Academy rosters should be added. Axe the entire faux youth academy feature.
- Focus a bit more on the coaches and use actual names.
- Make the club kits more customizable. The same club isn't going to wear the exact same kit for the next 15 seasons. Allow for a bevy of kit designers and front logo sponsors and bring back the feature that allows for the club to sign deals with them.
-Incorporate the skill challenges into actual team training sessions. Players form can fluctuate depending on how well they do in the drills or in the practice match ratings.
I'm sure I have more, but I haven't played Career mode in a bit so yeah
and ffs the animations when subs are happening take sooooo looong ditch the animations and make it quicker, nobosy wants to see the subs high 5 eachother

Re: FIFA 14 discussion
This too!!!!CBarca wrote:Get rid of that thing where when you hit a through ball the striker jumps over the ball and loses all speed and chance of getting the ball.
Plus instead of those dull generic stadiums just put in some more real ones ffs. From any somewhat established football nation so long as it actually exists in real life.
I miss being able to score a gol olimpico which I dont think has been possible in the last 2 or 3 fifas, or more.
Career mode, it'd be nice if for transfers you didn't get screwed over financially every time. For any decent name you have to overpay like crazy yet you have to sell your players for their base value or a little bit over. I know it's not always that way but it is for the most part. And for realism, I'm not asking for much. But in my very first few days of playing career mode with barca, Messi forced his way out for $91 mil. (cheap) because he just couldn't stand to stay (this was in the summer '12 window). Crazy realism there, ea sports! If FIFA can fix the mind-blowingly retarded scenarios such as those, I'd be happy. Needless to say, that turned me off for career mode.
And has anyone noticed how NT squads are not as correct as they should be, in regards to actual, current call ups? It'd be nice if they added more realism to NTs witht he right call ups.
Plus what's the point of the classic/world XI if they're not available online? If anything they should add more classic squads AND players for some online play. It would take away some of the monotony which some online play on FIFA is riddled with. The World XI has its flaws too, like how it always features different players every time you mess with it and it includes mediocre players as well. Again since you can't use that team online, I doubt anyone else gives a s***.
Finally, can anyone here explain why FIFA chose to feature such an irrelevant league like the Saudi league over others like Ukraine, Turkey or even Agrentina? I'm not trying to hate on the Sauds but wtf???
As you can see I barely touched on gameplay because FIFA has soooo many other glaring issues as it is but if you read that than thanks and let's all vent together.

Re: FIFA 14 discussion
Also, am I the only one who would like to see more MGR/Career mode stats carry over from season to another? They keep your overall match record, but it seems as if they could easily keep so much more and it would be awesome if they carried over seasonly numbers such as transfer fees, league top scorers, cup winners, etc. They treat each season so individually that even though I've never come close to finishing the 15 seasons, they'd still never feel like 15 seasons, somehow.
I mean if your game can support a 15 season career mode, how can it not simply carry information over from one season to the next?

Re: FIFA 14 discussion
FIFA 14′s enhanced online features have been discussed in a new interview with the series’ executive producer David Rutter. However, EA Sports won’t forget about the joys of solo play.
In an interview with WhatCulture, Rutter said that EA’s goal of an always-online, interconnected experience has already been realised, and that the team will go further with FIFA 14.
Said Rutter, “For someone with a connected console you’re completely connected with the EA Sports Football Club component of the game now. Everything you do in the game counts towards your level, you can see what your mates have been up to.”
“We’re delivering data updates on professional players and injecting challenges from real matches. You can download an App to keep track of your EASFC stuff, and manage your Ultimate Team too from the bus or workplace. You’re right – it’ll get even more like this in the next few years.”
But if you’re a fan of playing alone, then fear not, for you can still get stuck in solo if you want. Rutter confirmed that this is still a key area for EA Sports.
He explained, “I think this is because it’s an excellent experience, and also because it’s sometimes a major hassle hooking up with your mates online to play head to head or the people online are quitting/cheating/beating you up. We’re working on that too.”
Rutter closed by saying that all of this effort will make FIFA 14 a huge game, brimming with extensive features. “For FIFA we’re already really pretty broad”, he said, “single player, co-op, competitive multiplayer, ranked, unranked, career, and all locked to a player or as any player, across a massive comprehensive set of players, teams and leagues. It’s a huge game.
“Our biggest features in the last three years have probably come from ‘deep’. I think deep is what gets the 90+ ratings and the fans eager, but you can’t be too narrow. Our fans have really diverse tastes in modes and we need to cater to that.”

Switch Barca's home stadium to Santiago and Madrid's to Camp Nou when El Clasico games are played for further realism. Thanks.

In every Clasico match on FIFA 13 there seems to be whistling when both teams have the ball. The whistlings meant to happen when the away team has the ball.
