Eriksen rejects new contract
Overmars said: "Christian has informed us that he doesn’t want to sign a new contract right now. I think he and his agent want to see what opportunities present themselves this summer."
Despite speculation linking Eriksen to a number of clubs around Europe, Overmars is keen for the youngster to further his progression at the Amsterdam ArenA for a few more years before moving to another club.
He added: "We want him to stay here for at least two more years, but the day he leaves us, he will be ready to play for the very best. He’s a player even the biggest clubs in the world could do with having in their squad."
these are all quotes overmars told sporten.dk

So where does he go?
assuming he opts to not sign a new contract from now until his current deal runs out he is likely to be sold in summer. ajax have been pleased he has stayed this long but i bet will be looking to cash in on the highly rated youngster.
discuss.

Re: Eriksen rejects new contract
The most important thing for him is to get playing time, any top-club who is willing to give him that would be welcomed, we need him to fulfill his potential as fast as possible so we can compete in the next Euro's

Re: Eriksen rejects new contract
him staying at ajax as long as he had gives credence to the point that he will want to go to a side that guarantees him a starting spot and lots of playing time, but if a side like barca came calling i think it would be very hard for him to say no.
its a tough one to call. im interested in where he will land.

Re: Eriksen rejects new contract
if mourinho miraculously stays then i highly doubt madrid go for him, nor would he go for that.
though its likely madrid have a new manager (and maybe a new president)- so its impossible to say if madrid will be interested in the summer.
more likely he goes to barca i think

Well he's been linked with us from the second he was born. But I don't know how interested we'll be now that we got Coutinho and Suso is looking so promising.

we don't really need midfielders. He'll ruin his or somebody's career if he comes to barca tbh.

ESPN are reporting that LFC are leading the chase for him after United's interest waned, but it's ESPN and transfer speculation is not their strong suit. With Coutinho's arrival I'm not sure if the club will still be interested in a CAM in the summer window.

Re: Eriksen rejects new contract
Liverpool already have Coutinho, although apparently he's a winger nowadays, so Eriksen could possibly play AM with Coutinho at LW.
Can't think of many top clubs that need an AM currently. Maybe Man City. Silva, Eriksen and Nasri in a 4-2-3-1?

Re: Eriksen rejects new contract
Could see him going to Italy, both Inter and Milan could use a good AM.
Most English teams already have their AM position sorted and Barca and Madrid are stocked too.
Arsenal or Chelsea would have been good choices last summer. I think he really missed out not leaving then.

We do have Shelvey, Coutinho 'n Suso. I don't think we will spend (and he will cost a lot) where we have options. I rather see us spending on a wide player.
He should go to Germany.

Re: Eriksen rejects new contract
Eriksen's been playing "below" standard (he's still playing well, he's just not playing as good as he used too) so Liverpool could get him on the cheap. There he will play with his International captain Danny Agger and past-captain Luis Suarez.
Honestly though, he'll give us some balance in the middle. Only Gerrard and Shelvey are "AMs" at Liverpool and Shelvey has shown to be too inconsistent in the Premier League.
Whilst Suso and Coutinho can play as an AM, they will feature on the flanks for us (or 'inside forwards') and Suarez has his free role. Eriksen is the complete 'pass and move' player for his age. He can penetrate the opposition in the final third (something some of our other midfielders lack) and has the flair/trickery to impress even Coutinho and Luisito.

I'll be definitely hoping he goes to Milan if Liverpool don't purchase his services.

If only the defense was sorted, Milan would be such an exiting team.

He's a self-professed Roma fan after all.
If we keep playing Pjanic like a regista, we could be in the market for a CAM/Trequartista
