To Celebrate Ozils near instant success with Arsenal i thought we should update the Real Madrid rejects All Star list. This is a list that includes players that were pushed out by Real Madrid and later triumphed in other clubs, men that Madrid might regret having pushed out.

Why does he always come out and say these type of things regarding players futures. As if he gets to make these type of decisions

Heynckes got fired because he was fired 3 months earlier and he couldn't even run practices and tactics... he just sat there He had gotten into a major fight will several of the top players on Madrid in the middle of the year and wanted to bench them... I think Seedorf was the one he had the most beef against. Madrid president told him to shut it (publicly in fact). After that, he had no role whatsoever. Typical Madrid

Hierro and Sanchis were the player-coaches to end the year and got them the CL crown. The other competitions were a disaster, however, as Madrid finished at its lowest in La Liga since 1985 (13 years) as fourth.

Who of these players do you think was the most disastrous case?

I don't think every player on that list should be there. Players like Negredo, Higuain etc wouldn't have started regularly. Also Mata, Javi Garcia etc.

Also I don't think there's anything wrong with the policy of getting rid of top players. Real Madrid aren't like any ordinary club. There's more pressure there than anywhere and top players can be replaced by other top players.

It's inevitable some top players will succeed elsewhere.

Probably Vicente, then Makalele. With Cambiasso, in retrospect he would have been most useful for a good 9 years, but he wasn't as established as the other two. That's just from a playing standpoint. Then you have Hierro, someone who really shouldn't have gone out like he did.

There are also players who left and didn't really have tremendous success, but who I thought could have been great for us under different circumstances. Gago, Van Der Vaart etc.

McMannaman hardly counts... He didn't exactly do well after leaving us...
There are a lot of names that come to mind. Any team we play in La Liga, more often than not, has a Madrid youth graduate in their ranks and that player is normally one of their best...

Hierro shouldnt exactly be on this list coz he was already in steady decline when he left. Didn't exactly set the world alight after leaving Madrid. The manner of his exit though is extremely shameful
