we're in DEEP trouble if we go into the season with Gibbs starting at LB.

We will be screwed if we don't buy a replacement

Gibbs is a left back as much as he is a goalkeeper.

Baines is who I'd like.

They are not better then clichy but they are still good left backs, I don' think baines is worth the money everton are asking

liverpool is also looking for a left back so the prices are really going to be inflated.
Baines would be ideal but he will not come until wenger is prepared to spend 15+ million

Bastos is another possible replacement.

I am going to be extremely unhappy if after months of speculation we will just go with Gibbs.

Cheaper option is Enrique. 8mil is the touted fee. I wouldn't mind him. But dammit, he wants to move to Liverpool, last I checked.

Highly as I do rate Gibbo, I don't agree on him being first choice yet..

i won't mind Vertonghen or Kos moving to Left Back..... if wenger is in the market for a pure wingers like Gervinho, then we don't really need Left Backs that bomb down the wings

Oh yes we do!! How else will Chelsea/United/any other half competent team score against us on the break every single time otherwise?

We are still short in defence.. We have enough problems as it is with our center backs, moving one of them to a full back is just a receipe for disaster.

We HAVE to sign two defenders now. A CB AND a FB. Great.

Too bad he is at spuds. No way they'd sell him. Arsenal are his childhood club and him and walcott are good friends. Unfortuntately, no way this is happening. Redknapp would rather kill himself than sell to a PL rival, more so Arsenal.

Money talks, the sad thing is Arsenal is not the team that would pay the price for Bale.

I couldn't care less if he was playing for Spurs. The fact is Bale is worse than Gibbs at left back and to play him there would be a waste of his abilties.
