Emanuelson is a LEFT BACK!

My only critic of Allegri this season is not putting Emanuelson at Left Back. He started his career at left back and I feel with the same training that Abate got he can turn into a great left back. He has great foot skills, a great cross, and blazing speed. Every time we have put him at left back he has produced, so I don't see why not. I don't see why we can't put him back there keep Mesbah for back-up at left back and Antonini as back up for the right. Then instead of paying 15+ mil on criscito we can use that money to revamp our mid which is going to have a face lift this summer. I don't think the attack needs much when Cassano and Zlatan are fit, for me that's one of the deadliest attacks on the planet.

I think the only performance we can credit him with is the inter one....Inter were parking the bus and that was no game to measure a left back's performance as inter don't attack through the wings..He would have encountered the same fate as Mesbah had he played at the emirates..He had bad defensive ability for the Eredivise No way can he become a good left back...Even if he becomes one under the guidance of tassotti,instead of wasting time on him..We can look to the very promising Didac

I have to disagree with the OP on this one...

1. Urby is not naturally a LB. He is a winger.
2. It would probably take at least whole season for him to become a good LB - that's how long it took Abate.
3. Didac Vila is shaping up to be a very good young player and he should be given the spot next season. It's the smart decision financially, it shows faith in his development and long-term vision for the team.

Yeah I have to agree with FR as well. Didac is doing well in Espanyol and I really hope management sees that and brings him for next year.

Yes, Milan bought him last year and kept him at Espanyol on loan

I'd love for him to be able to be used at LB, it would mean we wouldn't use him at AMF again
