Re: The Official Paris St.Germain Thread
Thanks Colo
via L'equipe.
Despite the reports that PSG and Perez had a meeting in the presence of Ronaldo its been denied by L'equipe. Ancelotti also rules out signing Ronaldo citing the incredible finances needed along with stating that he is satisfied with his squad.
Its doesn't say much considering at this stage Carletto and PSG will be relatively quiet or defiant on their transfer dealings. It doesn't help that Carlo on a whole is quite coy on his transfers.

Carlo said no one will be bought in January, that is ridiculous IMO considering the FB issues.Sagna or lichsteiner would be the ideal buy, both being heavily linked

So safe to assume VDW was all hype?
Or just a bad move for him?

Re: The Official Paris St.Germain Thread
Vdw was always bad.He got hyped back in 2010 just because he was a youngster playing for ajax and the nt,but ever since 2011 the hype stopped because everyone realized he is crap.If a fb is bad defensively then he should at least do something in attack, but vdw is good at nothing.Cole and Sagna should be the main priorities for 2013

Re: The Official Paris St.Germain Thread
VDW is useless. Almost worse than Bosingwa.. Been for a long time and hasn't been improving since moving to PSG therefore a decent replacement for him is needed. Bebuchy? Sagna? On the other side, it's not much better... Maxwell is getting old and cannot play week in, week out football... A replacement for him is needed and the one they currently have is very average...
I don't get why PSG need Ronaldo tbh. Got so many players on the wings as it is and adding Ronaldo would mean selling players as well. Plus, Ronaldo would cost a fortune... Why spend the money when you already have quality on the wings...

Isla hasnt been fully integrated into the squad yet and with Chiellini out for 3 months he could even be tried in a 3 man backline perhaps as he was tried in the last game.He is one of our most important players in the team, there's no chance in hell we are going to sell him midway through the season. Its typical Tuttosport nonsense if you ask me.

Re: The Official Paris St.Germain Thread
Here's a list of the latest credible rumors:
- Isimat-Mirin, the 21 year old CB at Valenciennes, to be bough and left of loan there until the summer
- De Rossi rumor has died down
- Sneijder rumor has died down
- Cole and Sagna are both being pursued agressively
- The reason PSG is talking so much to Mendes now is not CR7 or Mou. That's for the summer maybe. PSG is making a major bid for Coentrao
- Gameiro transfer to Dortmund being discussed
- Nene rumored to Santos or Corinthians
- Moussa Sissoko wants to come to PSG for 2 years now and there might finally be mutual interest
- Ba also wants to come to PSG but there's no way that happens unless he's willing to back up Ibra... and even then

Re: The Official Paris St.Germain Thread
What do you think of the Lichtsteiner rumors Sports ?Not sure about the French media but he doesnt seem to be heavily linked with them according to Italian media either.
I'd say going for Sagna would be the better option imo as he would not only bring his experience to the fore to shore up the backline but he would also add up to the amount of French nationals in the starting eleven as there arent many right now.Menez,Matuidi,Jallet(who's like in and out the squad),not sure about Sakho though but thats about it.

Re: The Official Paris St.Germain Thread
Very good deals that PSG is trying to make:
- Isimat-Mirin for 5 mil euros
- Moussa Sissoko for 7 mil euros (he's free this summer as his contract runs out)
Two young players with big futures.
English media make it seem like PSG is on Everton's Baines as well. But it's British media lol.

Re: The Official Paris St.Germain Thread
Sissoko has been dying to get to PSG actually as that's his childhood fave team... but PSG passed in the summer. He didn't think they wanted him. Now with Momo Sissoko being shopped, they want Moussa.
Same deal... buy him and leave him on loan. They can outspend Newcastle obviously and PSG is a much bigger club.
We'll see.

Re: The Official Paris St.Germain Thread
So with Sissoko likely to come there would be so many midfield options available for the team..At this point i would like to think Veratti would be a rotational player to Motta. Then there's Chantome , Matuidi along with Bodmer and the young Rabiot all fighting for 2 midfield spots since Carlo has persisted with the 4-4-2.Anyone looking likely to leave perhaps ?

Re: The Official Paris St.Germain Thread
The thing is, Deschamps has used Sissoko as a winger believe it or not on NT and he's been great. When he came on against Spain in the WC qualifier, he played RW lol and just destroyed it. He is just a physical beast. So he can actually cover wide too. He plays B2B at toulouse like Yaya. Needs to work on his technique though.
I honestly have no idea how all the talent is going to be used. I think Bodmer and Momo are gone. So that leaves Motta, Matuidi, Chantome, Verrati, Rabiot and probably Moussa. The team is perfectly set up to play the 442 right now, so i doubt that system changes. You would think Chantome is moved... but i hate to lose him. He's a gutsy little player.
Similar situation at CB with Silva, Alex, Sakho, Camara and Isimiat-Mirin probably. I am pretty sure Camara goes.
The only real weakness is fullback. You have Jallet and Maxwell. The rest of them are crap. That's why i think a move for Coentrao is made along with one for Sagna.

Isimat mirin is good but is he going to play ? PSG have many young defendres

Re: The Official Paris St.Germain Thread
Motta is going to be gone soon. He's made of glass and is getting older. But until then, the 2-deep is Motta and Verrati.
Not saying Sissoko is a winger... but he can player there and has done it well. He'll be fighting with Matuidi mostly as the B2B however.
The idea at PSG is to try and go 2 deep at every position like all the elite clubs. The players understand that. it's open competition and best gets to... compete some more lol.
As far as Isimat-Mirin, he's only 21. The thought is that either Sakho or Alex are going to leave... so PSG is planning on the replacement in advance.
