There was my problem, i only had enough SP to do it like once or twice and he'd just bring them back lmao.
I had to use brainbuster to brainwash them to finish it

I died like at least 5 times, extremely annoying fight.

Re: Persona 5
it's so cheap when they just give these bosses 0 weakness and tons of different attacks
just becomes a boring game of attrition

Re: Persona 5
Tbf by this point they expect you have to evolved Personas for most of your team plus whatever broken af Persona you fused. Weaknesses would almost make it too easy.
It's more annoying that they stuck four mini-bosses before the final boss and no quick way to heal without wasting items or slogging your way back to the start of the area to heal in the Velvet Room.

Re: Persona 5
final boss wasn't too hard, just really long, things were getting tense at the end as I was really low on SP across the board but thankfully I spent like 300K on replenishing items before the final dungeon/palace
think the 7th palace boss was slightly longer though

*bleep* lol.
I didn't save it so I'm now back to before you meet the holy grail lmao.
On the positive side maybe I can save some items this time.

Re: Persona 5
best track in the game IMO
so was Persona 5 easier compared to previous games? heard the other games were genuinely challenging on Normal, I only died 3-4 times in 100 hrs (and yes I played on Normal Timmeh u pos)

Re: Persona 5
Persona 5 is easier because of Baton Pass. The ability to hit a weakness/crit then pass on to another character to do even more damage and conserve SP made normal fights much easier.
In the older games if you hit a weakness/crit you could only take an extra turn with that character. So you burned through SP faster, especially for more obscure weaknesses.
Besides that, I don't think there's a huge difference in difficulty. If you're well prepared (decent levels, good element coverage on the team) you''re fine.

Re: Persona 5
You could just bump the difficulty down

Re: Persona 5
> not preparing for the final boss/dungeon/palace
sloppy IMO especially after giving me the same advice earlier on
you wouldn't need to have spent that much either, I spent like 300K and only used about 1/4th of the items
I did have GOAT Persona though

If you're desperate, bump it down to Safety. If you lose, you get an instant revive with max health and SP.
Safety is so easy you could cheese the boss with physical attacks anyway.

Re: Persona 5
I did prepare tbf, I just didn't prepare as much as I needed to.
I would never have imagined I'd need so much, picked up about 20 of those give 200 health to everyone things which was enough throughout the game lol.
In any case I have done it now, pos can *bleep* off though. If I didn't enjoy the story after the fight so far I reckon that fight would have soured me on the game.
Still between a 9.5 and a 10 though.

Re: Persona 5
had no idea there were multiple endings, the true ending is super easy to get anyway
yeah that was a shame, I do plan on maxing every confidant in another playthrough in a few months or so
I only maxed a few and most of them were story related
think it was Ryuji, Teacher, Doctor besides the story ones
had Yusuke at 9 and most of the others at about 6-7
