I hated it at first but got used to it eventually and didn't mind it.

I did the entire 7th palace in 1 session ffs, the last fight took me like 25 mins because my entire party had almost no SP

thank god I have 20 mystery stew I ordered from the shopping channel, had to keep spamming them and then lifting the debuffs ffs

wasn't expecting to be thrown into that fight after beating the cleaner smh

Shiki-Ouji is still my favorite Persona so far and I got it at like lvl 20

was expecting the fight before to be much tougher than it was tbh, got a pretty good lineup that can deal with everything now though

will finish it off tomorrow, I remember Jay saying the Game locks you in for the end on the date I'm at, looks like I have one big thing left to do

will be sad to see it go tbh (will do a second playthrough in a few weeks but will take it slow), 102 hours in atm, longest single playthrough of all time for me by 20+ hrs

comes close to The Witcher 3 for being consistently engaging from a story standpoint for such a length of time

unreal value for money

I actually bought a Vita for P4 Golden 2.5 years ago you pos..and then never actually got P4G

I'm definitely gonna play it now though probably with the PSTV since I sold my Vita a few months after buying it

only issue and it's quite big is I hear the palaces or dungeons or whatever they're called in that are randomly generated so likely suck

I really enjoyed them in P5 besides 2 segments of them, they were well designed

Yeah, I heard that P4's equivalent to Mementos is randomly generated and no one liked it. Still, a lot of people seem to prefer P4 Golden over P5, so the game should offer a lot besides the supposedly boring Mementos part. But yeah.. see you in FIFA 18

Dungeons in P4 (and P4G) are similar to P5's in that they're based on people's thoughts/desires/etc. so they're interesting from that perspective. Where they fall really short though is that 1) they're no where near as interesting to look at and explore and 2) every dungeon uses randomly generated floors. Dungeon design was the one thing P5 did that was indisputably better.

There's no Mementos equivalent in P4G. You just go back and explore dungeons you already visited (they'll have a mini-boss at the end and some decent items) if you want to grind.

Soundtrack, story, characters, and the battle system are comparable, though.

Just bare in mind that P4G is just an updated re-release of the original P4, which is a 2008 PS2 game. So a lot of it is going to be dated.

I've completed 72% of the Persona Compendium without really trying for it atm, shouldn't be too hard to finish it off I imagine in a second playthrough, sucks that your character level resets, how are you even supposed to max level to fuse top persona's without abusing the reaper during flu season trick? or does it just come down to money, because I can fuse them but it's expensive AF

a lot of the high lvl Persona look great so I want to try them out, I do have a few really nice OP AF Persona though and I haven't really taken advantage of the lockdown feature

this final palace thing is long AF too, think I'm at the final boss or approaching it, dread to think how long it's gonna take if the last took me 50 mins

have way more OP Persona now though

is that the devil dude? I spam high crit physical and gun attacks since it didn't have any weakness, they aren't that bad though, they have a shit moveset by themselves

It's something else i don't think you are there yet tbh, it's mainly because the *bleep* has two angels was constantly heal him ffs.

I just beat something called Herald of death using the same tactic, so I imagine they're gonna go the predictable and annoying route of throwing a gauntlet of tough 1 on 1's against you to drain resources before the final fight SMH

Correct lol, i had *bleep* all by the time i faced it which probably made it harder tbf.

better be a safe room during this gauntlet

I had a lot of trouble with that boss, as well. The two angels are weak to curse skills, so you can Mudo them for a quick kill before they can heal the boss.

There was my problem, i only had enough SP to do it like once or twice and he'd just bring them back lmao.

I had to use brainbuster to brainwash them to finish it

I died like at least 5 times, extremely annoying fight.
