Post by Firenze Thu Apr 27, 2017 9:05 pm

so does the game open up later? i always heard how the game was a lot like a social life simulator and you have to manage your time well, anytime I want to go out at night etc it tells me I should just go to sleep and seems like it's keeping me focused in one direction, I imagine that's because I'm still in the early parts of the game where it's giving me tutorials, I should finish the first Palace tonight I imagine. Been playing like 6 hrs tho.

When the game is dumping plot you basically get locked into several days of going to bed early. But once the Palace raids start (when you get a deadline) you get x amount of days to balance social life with dungeon crawling.

Going to Mementos, palaces and completing certain events leaves you tired during the evening and prevents you from doing anything at night. It won't change until you max out your social stat with the teacher.

You guys know about the Reaper trick?

If you go into any floor in Mementos during flu season and stand still for 2-5 mins, you can fight the Reaper while he's inflicted with despair (it's a 40% chance). It'll do nothing and die in three turns, giving you a crap ton of XP (and a trophy).

You can't beat it otherwise. I'm playing on Safety just to mop up all the trophies and got 250,000 XP for doing nothing rofl.

And you do this however many times you want, too.

You intend to platinum Persona 5? hmm I hope we can make a full GL team for CoD WW2. You better be done with OW and everything else you're juggling, by the time that game is released Clubber

OW is still GOAT man, dunno why you got bored of it. I'm only getting COD if they don't have all the shitty features and money grabbing practices implemented in the last few with their unlock system.

Yeah, the game is super addictive Razz You can sell pretty much all of your old equipment, but you might want to keep the ones that say "can be used for transmutation" - you'll need those in order to create items from Personas later on.

With that being said, I haven't used any of the transmutation items because figuring out which Personas are necessary to create weapons and equipment that are actually useful, is a pain in the arse. Not to mention, that the majority of the store-bought items are almost as good as, and in some cases even better than the ones you can "itemize" later in the game.

By the way, you should up your relationship with the "Death" doctor as soon as possible. You'll be able to purchase equipment that grant automatic SP to your members on every turn, which is probably the most useful equipment in the game, including the relatively OP, DLC equipment.

nice, SP regen is something that I'm having issues with but I already got that death doctor's level up once, will visit her again asap, I underestimated how long this first palace is, Morgana is telling me I'm 50% through ffs, have 7 days. Imagine I will need to leave the palace at least once more.

You get one really good equipment for every DLC that includes a Persona from past games. Off the top of my head, double XP, double cash, higher crit rate, higher all-out-attack damage, + to all stats etc. The double XP/Cash ones only need to be equipped to one character to apply to the whole team.

You get different social stats from different jobs. I get the majority of my cash from farming in mementos and palaces, so working hasn't been necessary since early game. They are, however, useful when you need to work in a particular job in order to gather information on requests for Mementos.

I messed up and need to do a third playthrough to get the plat  Focused so much on getting all the confidants finished that I forgot to read all the books and finish all the games. Just ran out of time in the end.

Btw, the secret boss is by far and away the hardest boss in the game, possibly in the series:

One lists all possible persona results and the other you have to do it manually.

Doesn't make a lot of difference either way tbh.

It's just a different way or sorting iirc. The result is the same either way.
