@LadyArse @DarrenArsenal1 Got some more info on Sunzu. He's quoted as saying he's Arsenal-bound, but I gather Reading is the destination 1/3
@ColinUdoh
@LadyArse @DarrenArsenal1 but it's not a done deal. Apparently, offer is for $600K, but that is pocket change for Mazembe boss Katumbi 2/3
ColinUdoh
@LadyArse @DarrenArsenal1 It's the kind of money he will probably spend on a whim. Think of it as trying to pry a player off Man City 3/3
WTF just happened?

Buy an unknown player from Zambia for 600k.

Btw guys, what is your take on Koscielney being played as a Defensive mid? I think he has got what it takes based on :
Good passing skills
Reads the game well
Great engine
Intercepts and defends exceptionally well
Strong player that rarely gets bullied off the ball.
Why wouldn't wenger try this out?
Actually I think that TV could be better at the "AFC Song" position than KOS. Mostly because of his forward runs. There are times in the past that he has had the chance to run forward, usually leaving us open in the back. Although, looked realy good doing that.
With that said I am tired of everyone playing out of position so would really rather have a passing DM or a Defense minded B2b.

Not sure about this. Top scorer in Serie A and only 20.

Here's a vid of his goals up to November. Can't really judge from it...but a nice turn of pace just after the 2 minute mark. Reminded me of Henry at the San Siro vs Inter I have all Serie A games live as well as English Premier but I don't watch Serie A. Not intense enough. Sorry any Italians out there. Top scorer in Serie A? We'll probably end up with Heskey now

Doesn't Barcelona owe us money for Cesc still? we should pick him up.
When a team wants 15m, Wenger sees half of that for 10m he would join us.

£15mil and close £100k p/w wages for a 31 year certainly is not happening.
The David Villa boat sailed away about four or five years ago. We had our chance. Didn't take it. End of.

I don't watch a ton of Serie A myself but El Shaarawy has been very classy this season. However, the Wenger quotes about him definitely seem more in the same league as AW's praise of e.g. Javier Pastore or Neymar - terrific players that Arsenal will pretty much never sign for any number of reasons, including mega-money.

I know he is a great player, it has nothing to do with him. If we did not have Giroud, I would have been happy with him, I know he is no where near Stoke player.
Wenger is not able to use them to fit our system. If Walcott is not playing Giroud is almost useless.
I rather get another Spanish player that really fits our system.
yet you want huntelaar?
I'm with Raptor. I'd rather us ending up with Huntelaar than with Llorente. I'm not much of a fan of Llorente. He's not a bad player, but I juz can't see him coming in and fitting in our system when we already have Giroud.
And also juz like Raptor, I prefer getting a much more technical attacking Spanish player like for example Tello or Navas.

Re: The Official Arsenal Winter Transfers/Rumours Thread
Llorente is a technical player. Don't let his size fool you into thinking he's just a target man. Yes, he's pretty damn good at that part of the game, and he's no Ibrahimovic, but he is a good player on the ball with a wide array of finishing.
Anyway, Huntelaar can shove off with that £100k p/w demand.

Re: The Official Arsenal Winter Transfers/Rumours Thread
Huntelaar with 3 years contract would cost us around 20m, he is a good player but I dont think Arsenal would pay him anything over 80k.
Huntelaar or Adrian? for sure Adrian, even though Huntelaar is one of my fav dutch players.
Would be nice to have them both.

Llorente is somewhat similar to Van Persie. He would fit seamlessly in...but at the same time he seems to want to go to Juventus.
Huntelaar seems an odd choice stylistically and would not be worth breaking your wage structure for. I'm inclined to say he wouldn't even be better than Giroud...and then in terms of playing with Giroud...that's going to be very very difficult.

i agree with this statement, honestly don't think huntelaar would be that much of an improvement to giroud in our team. we simply don't have the tools or the playing style that fully utilises those types of players.

Re: The Official Arsenal Winter Transfers/Rumours Thread
I think Huntelaar is deadly in the box.. you provide him, he scores, no mistakes.. but dont expect him to create and involve well in the attack.. Llorente is less deadly as a poacher and has more of other skills.. and he is exceptional in the air.. we will surely miss a large part of him if we dont play his way, as we are doing with Giroud.. so he is more closer to a Giroud type player.. so i will prefer a more specialist player if we want to sign one among them, that is Huntelaar..
but i would like us to sign a more technical player who can pass and play wide to complement Giroud than buying these players..
100 pw is too high...
