Barca today
I'm watching the barca game today and it's some of the best football i've ever seen. Might be hyperbole but I havent been this impressed even in the 2011 season; It's like tika taka on crack. The speed of the interplay and the running is just Almost like pinball out there. With cesc seeming to be settling and iniesta finally playing well on the wing with alba, they've got something special goin. Bayern dortmund had some great football too. Epl matches have been a wet towel in comparison

There's no fun in watching one sided games.

Then I guess you dont have fun watching Madrid, because they are favorites in 80% of La Liga gamesPedram wrote:Ganso wrote:oh who gives a *bleep* if its bilbao...sometimes i wonder if people watch football for entertainment

From a neutral standpoint.
Bayern v Dortmund, saving football's soul.

Re: Barca today
Bilbao just dont give up , do they ? 3-0 down and they still kept the intensity.
Defensively they suck so bad but credit to them for maintaining the intensity.
It was a great game to watch. Barca worked their butts off and pressed hard.
(for the record, betis- madrid, getafe-madrid. celtic-barca; were all 1-sided matches but madrid-barca lost. No one complained )

Re: Barca today
You guys obviously don't appreciate good football. You're more concerned about how 'competitive' the game was rather than enjoying the pure beauty of what Barca were doing and have been doing this season.
It's a shame for you guys, really. I feel bad for you guys.
Personally I'm loving it.

If Real had played some of the football we saw today we would never hear the end of it, regardless of who they played against.

Re: Barca today
You won't find a single post by me dissing Barcelona and their fortune but the fact is Athletic Club truly is awful this season as it has been a painful experience for Bilbai's and Basque hopefuls as well. Regular watchers of Athletic like Dani, Alfred and I already pointed out how Barca will blow out this team bereft of confidence and form.
Praise must be given but not so much based on the extent on how poor Atheltic have been this season.

Re: Barca today
Yeah Athletic have been bad this season but Barca have been fantastic as an offensive force all season long and people are just butthurt by it so using the weaknesses of Bilbao as excuse to not praise them.
These performances are nothing new this year, the only real difference between recent weeks and the beginning of the season is the defence and it's no coincidence they have looked stronger since Pique and Puyol came back.
I still can't believe they persist with 2 recognised CB's and use midfielders and fullbacks in the heart of the defence

I'm only butthurt because Barca destroyed Athletic as its a wound on the provincial pride despite our friendship with those Catalans.
Nonetheless I cannot be in the list of "butt-hurtees" as I have nothing but praise for Barcelona and Tito this season.
I only choose to point out how poor Athletic have been.

Re: Barca today
Your not Arq that was not aimed at you.
I was responding to the thread in general about Barca only looking good because it's Bilbao.
Fact is they have been ridiculous offensively all season long.

My mistake buddy.
I have a question. In a brief sense how would you differentiate Guardiola's and Tito's Barca in the aspect of their offensive play? Do you find it more impressive from the tactical/aesthetic perspetive? What would you like to see change along with more of? How would you like to see it evolve?
