Bonucci praises Torino boss Ventura
Juventus stopper Leonardo Bonucci is thankful to Torino boss Giampiero Ventura. “But he’ll be an opponent for 90 minutes on Saturday.”
Speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of the Turin derby, Bonucci had words of praise for his former Coach.
“Ventura is their danger man,” the centre-back stated. “I owe him a lot. He wanted me at Pisa and he played me just two days after my switch from Treviso. We then had that marvellous adventure together at Bari.
“He improved me as a player and a man. I love him, but on Saturday he will be an adversary.”
Juventus are top of the League, but two defeats in four games means that questions are now being asked of them.
“It’s ridiculous to talk about a crisis,” he added. “The Chelsea game emptied us out ahead of the Milan loss.
“We lacked anger and hunger, but Milan didn’t dominate us. That defeat is already behind us.”
Juventus are two points clear of Napoli, four ahead of Inter and Fiorentina. “Napoli are the anti-Juve,” he continued.
“They are a consolidated team, while Inter seem to be in a state of evolution. Walter Mazzarri’s side have been working together for years.”
