Solbakken: 'Podolski is our best player, everybody knows that. Maybe he's even the best player in the Bundesliga'

Ahem not quite, maybe top 5 this season.
He has a new biggest fan btw:

BTW, Ömer Toprak declared for Turkey today. I think right now more than 50% of the current Turkish NT grew up and learned their football in Germany.

They should pay us some money!

Gosh, it's a German disease, Schalke waste about 10 sitters and Maccabi score on their first chance.

It truly happens with any and every German team, it's horrible. Dortmund, Neverkusen, even Bayern need a ton of attempts for each goal. Weirdly, the NT is much more efficient than the clubs these days...

Ah they should but you know it's unrealistic for a club like 96 to be able to keep him when they big clubs
come knocking.

They will need to sell him if they don't want to lose him for free and they will get a lot of money for him.
He can't stop scoring for both Hannover and the Norwegian NT.

Well, so far Abdellaoue has a contract until June 2014, so they will keep him for at least one more year, I'd say. (Unless he has some exit clause of course)

I know, I'm just saying that they should feel lucky because unless he completely sucks next season they will get a lot more for him than they paid and for a club like 96 that's huge.

I just found a quote that says he has no exit clause in his contract. Good, that:

FT Poltawa 1:2 Hannover

Very lucky win for Hannover - in the 2nd half they only clung to the lead by a hair's breadth.

First Mehmet Ekici, and them Nuri Sahin..
Now Omar T0prak!

I understand them though, with Turkey they will have more chances in the starting XI.

Toprak has no chance of breaking into the NT with Mertesacker and Hoewedes on the bench, anyways.

But yeah... the German FA are pretty much gifting Turkey a lot of talent. Hope Can doesn't go to Turkey.

Anyways... German clubs doing very well in Europe with inferior squads in comparison to the Italian clubs... Conspiracy!

We'll we've been the fishing pond for Turkey for years, it's our own fault IMHO, at least the great ones stay, which makes me believe it might be less about national pride and more about not having a snowball's chance in hell to break into the Germany starting XI for most. Only real loss so far is probably Sahin, and even he would be second fiddle to Piggy for ages.
