Technically if you look at it without the gl bias goggles they are the best in Europe. Winning the CL makes you the best in Europe. That is what the competition is for. That is like saying Spain won the world cup but they did not deserve it so they are not the best in the world.
FYI Spain is the best team in the world because no matter what they do in friendlies they need to be beaten and de-throwned before anyone else can be called the best. Same logic applies for CL winners! You can be a girl and argue it all day long but it won't change!

Chelseas win was a fluke.
Barca dominated, Bayern dominated but due to missing chances and a bus parked on a one way street they won.
They aren't the best in Europe. Terrible in domestic league then got smashed by Atl. Madrid?
The award is nice and all but it really proves nothing

When trying to determine the best club, I rather prefer looking at the performances in the last 2-3 seasons instead of just the last season. This way, the factor of luck (injuries, refereeing mistakes etc.) doesn't affect so much.
And the question of which club is the best currently at this very time, well.. is it even possible to know?
