No Morata? Isn't that because he doesn't need to be registered due to his age? Or does that only apply to La Liga?

No this is actually our squad for the competition, so Morata, Jese and co have all been left out

Any B player can play as many matches as they wish in the league states a new rule which came into life last season

Morata CAN play, this squad list, A and B teams and local league has nothing to do with playing in the CL. Any player who played for the team for more than two years, is still under contract with the team, and was born after January 1991 can play for the team in the competition, this applies to Morata and Jesse.

Nacho, Denis, and Juanfran were listed because they were born BEFORE January the 1st, 1991. They're all 21 or older.

yh i read that, but this list confused me: (marca as usual)

· REAL MADRID

No list-B

· BARCELONA:
Defenders:
26. Sergi Gomez * (List B) 20 years old- 28/03/92
29. Planas * (List B) 21 years old-04/03/91

Midfielders:
28. Sergi Roberto * (List B) 20 years old-07/02/92
30. Rafinha * (List B) 19 years old- 12/02/93

Forwards:
27. Deulofeu * (List B) 18 years old 13/03/94
37. Tello * (List B) 21 years old 11/09/91

· VALENCIA

Goalkeepers:
33. Adrian Lluna * (List B)

Defenders:
35. Salvador Ruiz * (List B)

Midfielders:
28. Bernat * (List B) 19 years old 01/03/93
32. Cristian Portuguese * (List B)
34. Roberto Ibáñez * (List B)

Malaga:

No B-list

it's is really weird seeing some of these as B-listers when we don't, we have to remember even those who were born after 92 were registered hence why they have registered more than 25 players while we have only registered 25 suggesting Morata and Jese not being registered

Yeah, I get you now, I think that these players (who can play 'cause they're young) can be added at anytime, so these teams just add them now to make it seems like they have lots of youngsters, players. While Mou doesn't want to add them, so it he doesn't give them (false) hope, they're gonna play. I'm just speculating though.

Just found this:

"Conditions for registration: List B
18.15
Each club is entitled to register an unlimited number of players on List B
during the season. The list must be submitted by no later than 24.00 CET on
the day before the match in question.
18.16
A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 1988
and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted
period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with
UEFA. Players aged 16 may be registered on List B if they have been
registered with the participating club for the previous two years without
interruption."

So Pretty much they can add them anytime. These teams just like to brag. Razz

cherychev and juan fran are first team quality.

hope they get the chance to play, at least in the league

getting match time in the champions league is going to be hard to come by for these players in a squad like madrid's

I think they will get playing time over the likes of Carvalho and Kaka who both have just fallen out of favour recently

I think Mou wants Juanfran to be back-up to Arbeloa, Denis as a back-up to both Ronaldo and DiMaria and Nacho as a back-up to anyone in defence

omg this thread is so old lol

Anyways what team are you guys hoping for in the semi-finals

imo teams in order of toughness for us: Bayern, Barca, Dortmund

I would love to get dortmund and I would be hoping barca beat bayern as well because that would be the ideal team for us to beat and win the trophy

I want Dortmund they are the easiest + we want revenge

Bayern are the hardest and we have more chance in a final against them than a semi.

No Barca please. tired of clasico's.

yh Bayern is the only team I truly fear because at our best they knocked us out last season and they have greatly improved this season

but frankly I have only watched them twice vs Valencia and twice vs leverkusen. In the valencia it was story of two legs. in the first leg Bayern deserved to win and they did in the second leg they deserved to lose but they managed to hold on for a draw. That game saw Sisokho and Guardado really dominate that left side against Lahm and can't remember if Robben started or not. Against Leverkusen they lost the first game alittle unlucky with that very late own goal and in the second although they dominated most of the game I don't think deserved to win what I also noticed was that both these teams held Ribery quite for most of the games and the other side was also non existent

but then again those are the only times I have watched them so they might be completely different to my perception. What I noticed very dearly tho is that Leverkusen and Valencia exploited different weaknesses of Bayern, Valencia used the wings while Leverkusen used the middle. If we meet them its up to Mou to get his priorities straight.

Against Dortmund it will be alot easier they won't be able to exploit our sides because Arbeloa is suspended and Cacktrao is starting. They also can't take advantage of CB mistakes because Ramos and Pepe won't be starting at the same time unless Essien won't recover which he will I think. So Dortmund will be the one I want in the semis

Barca we already know their weakness but I want them in the final instead the atmosphere this game has is second to none

I fear Barca. If we meet them in the semis, they will beat us. We will trash Bayern and Dortmund IMO. If we'll face Barca I think that we will be overconfident, and lose.

I'd pick Dortmund for obvious reasons.

If we get Barca, i think this time they'll really causes us trouble, they don't want to lose for the third time in a row.

Don't really care who it is. If we want La Decima we'll have to face two of the three teams anyway.

Give me Dortmund or Barca in the semi's pls and Bayern in the final.

Worst possible scenario is Barca in the final. I'm not sure I am mentally capable of handling that loss honestly. I'd rather not risk it.

Yeah a final against Barca is an Ultimate Victory or Ultimate Butthurt scenario. I'm not sure I'd be able to take it Laughing

I just hope we win obviously for La Decima but also because I want Don Alfredo to see us lift the cup one more time Sad
