So that brings us back to the old squad size of 20. It seems likely that Fontas will get that jersey - number 18. Maxwell is now likely to stay especially since our attempts to buy a left back have failed so far and there is no recent news on that front.

Also it seems for the B team we are stopping the chase of both Andrada and Araujo.

Ultimately it seems we are again stuck with the magic number of 20. Guess we just love a small squad no matter how much the risk.

yes but when you look at it we lost bojan who contributed nothing last seaon.sanchez would be much more effective.

we loose nothing in milito.fontas is surely going to be a little better than him.

jeffren was useless and in place of him although they are not similar ,we get a potential star like thiago.

so in short we are not increasing in number but the overall quality has increased with these 3 new additions.

our midfield would be invulnerable with cesc though not needed.

still i am not happy with our defense.i feel we are one short.

in attack we are good enough.

Fair enough but the possible contribution of A.Sanchez for example is largely hypothetical at the moment.

Awful transfer window, we have zero depth, a lot of unproven youngster, but not deep squad. We should buy good CB and back-up forward, of course we won't buy anyone, board will waste time on Cesc saga, Rosell will be happy that he doesn't spend money. 2+7+6+5= 20 first team players, we are in six competitions, nobody can tell to me that this is deep squad to fight for six trophies. Again we will have to pray that Xavi, Messi or Iniesta won't get injury, or we are frak**. The last season we have deep squad was 2008-09, Pep rotated and players were fresh for big matches. Last season, especially in April and May our players barely can walk, this season without deep squad it will be the same.

We have MVP, Affelay with Bojan and Jeffren. Both of whom hardly played last season.

We now have MVP, Sanchez and Affelay. With Soriano who will hardly play.

We have more forward depth then last season.


Midfield remains the same so far. Thiago will play more and is better, therefore we automatically have more depth. If Cesc comes, then we obviously have alot of depth.

The defence has lost noone. We will bring Fontas and lose Milito...same depth.

I think we should have another CB, but its not crucial.

We have more depth then last season already, when we won La Liga and the CL. I think we doing well.

For those who don't know it yet G.Milito's exit is about to be announced and he will soon be presented as a player of Independiente.

I hope Barca are still interested in Esteban Andrada(Goalkeeper) from Lanus(Argentina)....so far Argentina has yet to concede in the U-20 WC and Andrada has a part to play in that.

Bright young prospect tbh.

It's very unlikely A.Sanchez will want to change jersey now. Afellay is a nice suggestion though.

I don't think we should count the 12 milion of Bojan's transfer. They are virtual money as we have to resign them and Roma doesn't pay until 2013.

We have Keirrison this year in Barca B. I think that he will get his chance to play for first team.

Cesc is in Arsenal's champion's league squad vs Udinese, if he plays in either leg that means that he won't be able to play for Barcelona in the Champion's League. Either we hurry up and buy him or we buy a CB, I really hope its the latter but I doubt it since Pep hinted at another purchase but he also implied the only other purchase Barcelona will be making this transfer window is for Cesc.

We should buy Botia...

If we've got the money I would hope we lay down the big bucks and buy Vertonghen.
