Re: 1. Milan v Sampdoria
If Mexes and Acerbi are going to be behind Bonera and Yepes in the pecking order then Allegri's going to quite rapidly lose my support. Tissone is a week point in their midfield, however I'm still uncertain whether we will hit the ground running. That we have a more youthful squad has been reflected in a relatively improved pre-season, however injuries and a lack of reinforcements in key areas are already showing on the team list. Hopefully Constant starts ahead of Flamini as well, though I'd like to see Urby in midfield ideally.
Playing at home, needing to make a statement though, there should be no excuses for not winning this match.

Same. I can't understand that at all. How could anyone come to that conclusion? I hope the Gazzetta is wrong.

Re: 1. Milan v Sampdoria
On our website, it reports that Mexes only just re-entered training with the full squad yesterday, so I imagine his absence may simply be an issue of fitness at this stage. Acerbi's growth has to be prioritised with game time however, there's no point persisting with Bonera as a starter, a player who is inadequate at the highest levels and who will grow no more. Seniority within the squad should not guarantee game time.

Agreed. Bonera should never advance further than a backup in our squad. Zapata and Acerbi also need to learn to play together if we're hoping to anything at all this season.
When we have a full squad, I'd like to look like this:
----------------------------Abbiati
Abate-----------Zapata---------Acerbi----------Antonini
----------------------------Montolivo
--------------------Nocerino---------Prince
----------Robinho---------------------------------Urby
-----------------------------Pazzini

Re: 1. Milan v Sampdoria
^Didac over Antonini, not that I trust Didac a lot but it can't get any worse than Antonini and Binho plays his best at LW. Pato on the right and we're set to go. It is just a case of the defense holding up and the injuries of the first team players.

i agree,
i was worried if mexes wasnt first choice consideration but if fitness was the main cause then i am ok with it too.
yea even acerbi is pretty new for us, he would be a better choice to start ahead of bonera, also for his experience.

Even against Sampdoria that defense still worries me. At least De Sciglio's playing.
