They agreed yesterday...he had a medical last night.
Pretty sure it's a done deal already, just needs official announcing.

Yeah he did, but he offers absolutely nothing going forward.
Dembele is a cracking signing for Spurs, cannot explain into words how highly i rate him.

Its 40M Euros so £31M odd.
Out of which Javi is contributing 10M Euros by foregoing wages.
So the transfer amount comes down to - £23M.
Not bad. Not too many 22-23 year old Tall Strong Sound Defensive & Good in Attacking DM & good in aerial balls Available in the market, especially one's who have played at a decent level for many years odd.
Great Buy I would say.

31M pounds out which Javi forgoes wages bringing the amount to 23M is a stellar signing.
Better than 50M Pound Torres with Single Digit Goals a season.
Javi is Bayern's missing link. A beast DM with good attacking ability. Other than CB if a guy like Thiago Silva or Kompany is available there is not any area where Bayern can make HUGE improvements

Almost worse than Liverpool fans trying to justify Andy Carroll's £35M by saying "oh but it was from the £50M we got from Chelsea"....errr......its still your money innit?

Javi Martinez was the most overrated player in la liga last season, I've never been impressed by him in any match of his I watched. Wish him luck on his move to Bayern but I doubt he'd be a big hit there.

Pardew:
"I lost Andy Carroll on the last day of the January window so no, I can never rest easy, but I want to keep the great players we have got," admitted Pardew.
"We have worked very, very hard to bring them to the football club, not just on the scouting side but selling the club to players.
"Players like Anita, coming from Ajax, a team in the Champions League, to Newcastle, this isn't an easy thing to do.
"We want to keep our best players, and we are trying very hard to make sure we do that."

According to everybodies number 1 site Goal.com Juventus have made a late attempt on getting Berbatov.
He was originally supposed to fly to meet a Fiorentina representative and then have a medical but allegedly he didn't board the flight because Juventus upped their interest and are offering him a better contract.

I guess Berbatov would be backup to the striker Juventus sign.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 8
It's probably more likely he will be our only striker signing unless Llorente can get out of Bilbao.
I guess he is cheap with fairly low wages and he probably would be our top goalscorer. Not the signing I was hoping for but he's maybe a step up in what we have.
