o_O According to Sport1, Javi Martinez accepted a pay cut of 2 mio Euros per year for his 5 year contract, so that he cost Bayern 10 mio Euros less in the end than the 40 mio Euro buy-out clause. That's dedication!

Sky Italia reporting we're set to sign both Bruno Uvini and Marquinhos from Sao Paulo and Corinthians respectively.

21- year old Uvini's deal is complicated since we're working on a co-ownership deal with Sampdoria. The idea is for Uvini to join them and acclimate to Serie A this season before joining us next season. Negotiations are still going.

18- year old Marquinhos' deal looks just about done, just missing minor details. He'll be the 3rd player we've signed from Corinthians alone and the 5th Brazilian overall this summer. His father has come out against the move however, preferring that his son stay in Brazil with Corinthians.

Since we appear very likely to sign Marquinhos, who will be a bit too young, to feature prominently at the back this season, we're still in the frame for Vasilis Torosidis as well. Imo i wouldnt be surprised if Jupp plays Martinez at CB with Gustavo at DM which would mean that Badstuber(most likely) would get ostracized in the end since there will already be one ball playing defender in Martinez.

Imo i wouldnt be surprised if Jupp plays Martinez at CB with Gustavo at DM which would mean that Badstuber(most likely) would get ostracized in the end since there will already be one ball playing defender in Martinez.

Heynckes will probably play Martinez besides Schweinsteiger in the DM, because our whole management said that we need to sign a DM, and it would be funny not to play him there.

As a consequence, Müller or Kroos has to sit on the bench if all are fit, i think Heynckes will rotate between both.
