But i heard Vucinic and Barzagli have not been called up..Vucinic i think due to the knock he picked up against Milan in the Trofeo TIM and Barzagli probably beacuse he's not match fit.

Asamoah played the same role against Benfica, and he actually played very well as a LM (more of a LM than a LWB)

didnt see any of the pre season matches... wasnt able to cz. so i am looking forward to see juve today. and how about conte? will he be our coach ?

Heh Matri scored 2 goals and still failed to impress me tbh. Giovinco had 1 terrible ball control otherwise he was impressive

Matri sucked even thouh he scored two. Gio and Marchiso had that chemistry going. Storari was a wall, Lucio was meh again.

can't be wasiting his talent if he's getting playing time...
He's a defensive midfielder which is similar to a defender, he will learn to anticipate tackles better & have a better view of the game which will improve him as a midfielder overall...
not to mention it's good to have versatile players in the squad incase of injuries in the future....

I'm happy to have Matri suck and score two goals in any game. However, I may be a bigger fan of his than others on this board. I would say that -although he misses some chances- he has a knack for being in the right place at the right time

Matris first goal was well taken. Very good goal. His second was a tap in, but its good to know that hes getting that poacher instinct back. Also, Marchisio and Giovinco linked up very well. Pirlo looks rusty though.
