Date for the final decision on the 2006 scudetto is 'apparently' 18th of July (I say apparently as they keep setting everything back).

Former Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli believes Inter’s 2005-06 Scudetto should be stripped. “They were involved in the same behaviour.”

The title was won by Juve, but removed along with the 2004-05 edition due to the Calciopoli scandal.

An appeal prompted by new wiretap evidence was effectively rejected this week, partly because of the statute of limitations.

“It was far too hasty a decision,” ex-Juve President Cobolli Gigli told Radio Sportiva.

“I still believe it’s wide open. However things go, it will be a difficult solution to reach.

“At the time all directors talked to the referees too much. Juventus did it and other clubs, including Inter, were involved in the same behaviour.

“We could say it was an ugly but widespread habit, so that 2006 Scudetto should remain unassigned.”

The 2004-05 title was left unassigned, but the 2005-06 edition was controversially handed to Inter, who finished third that term behind Juventus and Milan.

Inter are alleged to have committed sporting fraud during Calciopoli by the same man who last week said Juventus had no chance of having their 2006 Scudetto handed back.

FIGC (Italian FA) chief investigator Stefano Palazzi believes Inter are responsible for having committed sporting fraud during the 2005-06 season which subsequently led to the football scandal in Italy.

Speaking to Ansa, Palazzi said: "Inter violated the article relative to sporting fraud with regards to the possibility of taking advantages in the standings."

His comments are based on what has emerged from the current Calciopoli 2 trial at the Tribunal of Naples where evidence shows former Inter directors had contact with referees and a number of other high-profile Italian football leaders between 2004 and 2006.

Transcripts from wire taps identified by the Tribunal of Naples showed Former Inter president Giacinto Facchetti had regular contact with former referee designators Paolo Bergamo and Pier Luigi Pairetto.

Palazzi also claimed Inter were "directly responsible for having secured an advantage in the league standings by conditioning the regular function of the referee sector."

Last week, the FIGC said Juventus had "no significant case" following their appeal to have their 2006 Scudetto, which was revoked and then assigned to Inter, handed back.

The case into Juve's appeal was closed, but the federal court of the Figc is expected to meet again on July 5 and 18 to discuss the latest developments.

Moratti is saying "By now for us winning is a habit/custom" It's mocking the fact that before the stolen Scudetto of 2005, Inter had won last in 1970, 1979, and 1988. It's a mockery.

There is a difference I think between what Moggi has said repeatedly, what those close to Juventus have said would be justice and what Palazzi is now saying. The chief investigator...

Regardless, every couple of weeks there's a new rumor. Milan and Juve fans get their wieners hard thinking about how much trouble Inter is going to get into, and then.....nothing. ever. happens. I almost feel bad for them, they have got to have the worst case of blue balls ever.

to be fair, the reports in Italy have picked up some steam every since Pallazi has accused inter.
As opposed to the usual goal.com rumours.. there is actually alot of momentum behind this story.. It's one thing when Tuttosport posts something but this is an official statement by the lead prosecutor and its in every major italian news website.

In any case... i dont think much will happen .. and for the gloating Milan fans.. Meani was also mentioned.. if there are repercussions (unlikely) , there will be some to Milan as well .
