Expectations for City's CL campaign?

Is new to the competition still a valid excuse? They certainly have the quality to get out of the group stages, will they?

They'll scrape by out of the group stage then get serious competition in the Round of 16 and fall out.

I think they'll get to the quarter-final at least. However if they really focus then they have the potential to go all the way.

regardless the squad they have should definitely get them out of the group stages then depending on who they face will be the real question.

if they manage a top seeding in the groups i could see them definitely beating a seed 2 team in the round of 16

Juve, City, and Dortmund.

i think they'll do a little better. round of 16, perhaps quarter-finals - no further than that.

They have some CL experience, they have a deep squad
Depends on the draw but I expect them to win their group
I don't put much faith in Mancini in the knockout stages though

Quarter finals IMO.

They are also seeded higher this time, so that will help them with the draw.

Group win will be the most likely

He is fantastic at the role assigned to him in City's system and was one of the keys to City's success last year.
