I'm not much into women's football. But I'm curious nevertheless. Is she the best female footballer? Or is it Marta? What would be their equivalents in men's football? Etc. etc. Please enlighten me.

Many would argue that Marta or Sinclair (from Canada) are better, with no small amount of merit. But in terms of pure numbers Morgan is definitely in with a shout.

I'm not going to make comparisons as I'm not a fan... each player is his/her own.

Birgit Prinz isn't active anymore (resigned last year from the NT, that is), but with 128 goals in 214 (!!) games for the German NT and 254 goals in 244 competitive club matches, she should be pretty much among the very best, too (2x World Cup Winner, 5x Euro winner, 3x UEFA-Cup Winner, 9x German Champion, 10x German Cup, 1x USA champion, 3x WPotY, 8x German PotY and some more stuff - see http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birgit_Prinz ).

By the way, on 05 April 2013, the US team will play a friendly against Germany in Offenbach. I hope they will field the full strength teams then! As customary, it will be broadcast on German free TV, so a stream should be findable somewhere. banana
