Manchester United
SAF is always interested in promising youngsters but when it comes to signing them either the price tag is too high or the wages
He's been doing it since Berbatov transfer years ago. I guess Manu doesn't really have teh money for big transfers but the tatic is there to ensure that enough season tickets are sold before the start of EPL.
Oh yeah, the background behind the story:
Moura's United move 'is off'
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/mouras-united-move-101547158.html
For some reason, Manu doesn't seem to be interested in midfielders. They need midfielders more than any more attackers imo. My guess is they can't afford a decent midfielder. The question is how bad really is Manu's financial situation?

Re: Manchester United
It isn't only about Lucas. Manu in general has been using smokescreen tactics to cover their inability to sign high profile players right now.
Their two current signings will be the end of their transfer window.

When Rooney has to play CM or Scholes returns from the nursing home, "Carrick is just fine".

Yep. We still need adequate cover.. SAF has said United will bring in atleast 2 more signings, so I'm hopefull.
Edit: ManU....or Utd. When I read the title, i thought you were referring to Adebayor.

Re: Manchester United
They have the money to sign a cm/dm, but the asking price for Luca Moura is ridiculously high, why should they pay...?

Moura's dribbling skills are above Valencia's, but I doubt he would make instant impact. I can understand why United are crazy about him: Ronaldo at 19 was about that good.

My point is ManU won't make any more signings. The supposed 'interests' are smokescreens to show that the team is capable of signing high profile players but are just 'unlucky'

Ah the old Ashley technique... pretend to show interest but ultimately fail and say " we tried " at the end.
Great tactic tbh.

It's a depressing time as a United fan tbh, for me anyway. SAF could've/could still sign Sneijder,Modric,Sahin,Strootman, etc etc but I think it'll be Carrick/Fletcher partnering Scholes/Cleverley/Giggs next season again. Pogba, our decent young CM talent left too.

Yes finishing 2nd on goal difference and winning the league the season before must be truly depressing for you.
If you want to jump off a bridge now we will all understand.
