I was going to post it, but seeing how my other posts in here kinda failed, I couldn't be bothered...

I really like the look of this tablet, quad core and only $299 for the 16GB version over here :L.
But mum won't approve the purchase ):

How many android tablets are there? How bout iPad?
The average price range for a decent tablet starts at about 349-499.

Example: New iPad 499. Asus Prime 499. Samsung Galaxies from as low what like 379 up to 499 dude.

good luck expecting a miracle from a piece of hardware thats gonna cost 199. Because the Kindle Fire is sooooo amazing.... which is what your essentially getting.

you do know this is a quad core hardware.....

kindle fire was made only for reading and had just the bare esstientals

this is made for gaming, Multimedia, reading etc and has a tegra 3 which is amazing at gaming, it has NFC, everything that the iPad has

there is a different being cheap and affordable.... if apple wanted they could sell their hardware at $299-400 but they don'y because they like to drain every last sent from their customers

While google doesn't care about making money from hardware, their goal is to sell software and make people use their Google Platfrom more, and earn from ads

And companies just mass produce essentially the same thing just like how essentially every android phone and tablet is the same bar screen resolution etc.

Asus,Acer,Samsung, Toshiba, Lenovo, Motorola, etc all make tablets all are priced the same if not maybe 100 dollar cheaper than the iPad yet Apple is expensive?

Please, Android is open source so they get about zero from selling those tablets, except the Xoom .

Google doesn't make money of those devices hardware.... they make it off the software... Andriod is open source anyone can use it on any device they want to sell

Well won't be long before apple tries to get Nexus 7 banned, they already got Galaxy Nexus injunction for having a search function... and seeing the Google Now is a search function and better then Siri, they are gonna ban that too...

Apple owns a patent for unified search from 2000 on all hardware/software.

Throughout the world respected journinalists have praised Google Glass, there isn't much in it atm but by next year it will be in Alpha/Beta, and has tons of potential

and apple can only sue companies in US because the US has a crap patent system, they give out patents for the dumbest things like softwares

which the EU doesn't, and US patents gives softwares 20 years, which means no one can use that patent unless they pay the patent owner

Apple have even patented the look of a tablet so no one can make one anywhere similar to them without getting sued

The big demo at the time was "Google Goggles". Which I was referring to and the hype was there and I genuinely excited but it was a huge fail.

The OS is fantastic and i love ICS on my phone, I have the CM9 mod which is great and definitely like the notification bar on ICS.
If they completely ban the Galaxy Nexus, I will be seriously pissed off. Good thing Google Now is nothing like Siri in that it will be available for all devices that upgrade to 4.1

Google is banned from selling Galaxy Nexus now in US, so we will have to wait until US judge says they can so or if they make changes.

btw In UK the judge just shot down(invalided them) Apple's patents for being too obvious and extension of prior work

the 3 patents were slide-to-unlock, multitouch, and the handling of foreign language text input.

US patent system is broke, while UK and Euro's are shooting down Apple's demands
