the best Spanish player is definitely Iniesta , he normally get overshadowed by Xavi simply because he is a loud mouth but i'm pretty sure those who watch his games are aware of his quality

Its bad to see him against Italy , he could have made Italy unbeatable , The only player i can see that cause Italy a threat and now he is up against Pirlo the don , the maestro , the creator , the invincible

he played as a CB for one game,which was more of a tactical option rather than anything.

not sure why you are laughing at Mota and Nocerino not being able to do his job.Sure De Rossi does it better and thats why he starts,but still not sure whats so funny about it.

In terms of Pirlo vs Iniesta, I think Iniesta definitely has better ball control and dribbling. However he plays slightly higher up. I'm not sure how he'd do if he was to play as a DLP though. Maybe something he can later in his career?

Why Ini vs Pirlo? Anyway, I hope Spain actually puts out a line up that includes Pedro and maybe Llorente. No more Negredo...please. Also, Josh, I'm not gonna ridicule your post as DDR has been stellar but Pirlo is the main catalyst of Italy's midfield.

Basically, DDR is the more replaceable option...

Pirlo is the heartbeat of Italy and Juve. Best CM in the world this year, hands down.

At the end of the day I think it's a a bit disrespectful to call this match Pirlo vs Iniesta on both ends, Iniesta is definitely not Spain, some would say he hasn't even been our best player thus far, but he definitely has the most quality, on the other hand i feel as though De Rossi has a similar level of quality and performance to Pirlo at the moment.

And I feel as though he will definitely be more important in the final, just due to the makeup of both sides and how the game will be played.

It's certainly not just Iniesta vs Pirlo yet both have been the best players for their country by some distance.

But in this match someone else may influence it more just as balotelli did in the last.

Believe me, we Roma fans know just how important De Rossi can be to a side. Does Pirlo cause him to be underrated? Certainly and it's more down to the fact that they have different roles in the team. This thread seems to have been created with the attacking battle between Pirlo and Iniesta in mind, but it ultimately be DDR's job to try and limit Iniesta's influence so in that regard, it should really be De Rossi vs Iniesta, but even if this thread was named that, there would be insertions of Pirlo anyways.

Either way, DDR wouldn't get the praise he deserves. We as Roma fans know that far better than anyone else as we've watched him longer than anyone else.
