Juan Manuel Vargas “could leave Fiorentina” and has received interest from Liverpool and Malaga, confirmed his agent.

The Peruvian winger is expected to move on in the summer and has been heavily linked with the Anfield side in particular.

“He could leave Fiorentina, that is a possibility, but at the moment it is just rumours and there’s nothing official,” Jorge Cyterszpiler told TMW.

“He did not have a great season and is therefore eager to make up for it next year.

“Liverpool are an option, but there is also Malaga who can give him the prestige of playing in the Champions League.

“Does he have a preference between the Premier League and Liga? Vargas would appreciate either League, though Serie A also has its merits. In the past we talked it over with Inter and the Nerazzurri were interested.”
