To be honest, it won't do any good getting M'villa if Wenger does not instill tactical discipline in his team.
I just get the impression that certain players in the midfield are not encouraged to maintain their position throughout the match and hence you often see Arsenal caught out on the counter. If Wenger can improve this aspect, then even the current bunch of players is enough to win something.

RVP is a big player. I think at his age he needs to choice carefully what team he joins.

Even if what he said was 100% correct, that is a disrespectful thing to say. But it isn't...
Wenger is losing the plot, he's helped turn Arsenal into a glorified feeder club and he's got the cheek to say all of this. Besides, RVP a champion? Of what?

In 10/11 every time we would go a goal up, the opposition would always get an equalizer, and after that, we wouldn't be able to get back in the game at all. In 11/12, we finished the season completely unbeaten, and during the season we had staged plenty of great comebacks such as the 3-3 vs Napoli, the 2-2 vs Milan, The 2-1 vs Inter, the 1-1 vs Roma...etc. If we didn't have a winning mentality we'd never have gotten a draw/win from any of those games.
Basically I think having a winning mentality is to go into every game with high confidence and to go for the win even when all seems to be lost.
that basically sums it up, good example.

I actually hope RvP goes to Juve, just because Wenger said this nonsense.
I hate Juve and all but they would demolish that piss poor Arsenal side.
Wenger, having gone trophyless for so long, seems to have gone senile.

Juve would demolish Arsenal? Based on what? The fact that they won serie a when it is at one of its lowest point. Plus i am pretty much sure that had Arsenal been in Serie A over the last 7 years, we would have won something, you can murder me all you like, but thats just true. Plus i do think Wenger meant a Serie A move would be a step up for RVP, trophy wise aside, which only testifies the difference in the hardness of both leagues.
Plus i am willing to make a sig bet that Arsenal would knock out Juve in a knock out tie, and will go further in the CL next season. Anyone?

Meant i think Wenger meant serie a would NOT be a step up for RVP. On mobile atm, so editing is an issue.

You know Juve are a step up from trophyless arsenal when inter fans defend Juve.
Some Arsenal fans in this thread sound so arrogant it's unreal.
I don't think one Juve fan has had a pop at arsenal yet I'v seen a few comments digging at Juve.
Get a grip. Saying its easier to win a trophy in serie A lmao. How about you stop making excuses for your own teams problems. It's no one else but your own fault that you can't compete in the EPL anymore.
SMH.

Wenger is clearly not talking about RVP, as he has not won enough titles to be considered a champion

Maybe in the past 2 years yeah since city has arrived but before that you had Liverpool who have never won it, Chelsea who lets face it only started to matter after 2004 and United who were running away with it ever year but what's his excuse for going 8 years without a single trophy?

Because Arsenal don't have the quality or depth to match Juve?

But Winning Serie A(The League) is much better than winning Carling Cup or FA Cup.

So what you're saying is that RVP is not a true champion, and would rather flee to another country for a chance to win a weaker league than to play in the greatest league in the world?
In that case, I don't think Arsenal should want to keep someone so weak mentally

So your blaming the rise of Chelsea for your lack of silverware?
That's what it sounds like? And if it's true then what sort of club folds because they have to deal with 2 title competitors?

Juventus are a bigger club than Arsenal. With a much more prestigious history.
Who are the reigning Serie A winners, who will be favorites to win it again next year , and will be back in the CL.
So it would be a step up. In my opinion.
