One decent performance doesnt erase 20 terrible ones....
I dare anyone to bring up a game last season were Modric bossed a decent midfield....

Didnt do bad? He was fantastic on the night. Managed to hold the ball in midfield, played some good balls and what about the ball to Rakitic which Saint Iker brilliantly stopped? That was a majestic cross.

Spain were lucky not to concede, let alone win. That cross from Modric that went to a guy who had an open header and acres of space should've been scored, but the striker fired straight at the GK from around 6 yards out. There were some other very good chances too. Credit to Spain for grinding it out, but it was pretty ugly to watch.
