Score goals? Yea, I think he's been known to do that from time to time.....

Not score goals, score VITAL goals. Something Torres does almost never. I think they did an analysis on WAGNH and the amount of key goals he scores is next to nil.

Well, his goals personally won his clubs 2 Europa League finals, no? And of all the league goals Atletico has scored this season, almost half of them have come from him. I can't imagine he wouldn't be good enough to score in tight games with a lethal record like that. Besides, the entire goalscoring impetus of the team wouldn't be solely on him. It's also important to have somebody to come off the bench in tight games to make an impact, such as Cheatcharito at United and Dzeko at City.

Sturridge can do that I think if he's given more time. He'd need to be brought on earlier though, RDM seems to bring him on at the 87th or onward which gives him maybe one touch if any.

Exactly. This was also the reason I was very much in favour of keeping Kalou. He was an absolute master at coming off the bench and scoring. Why the club ever decided to let him walk is beyond me.

By the time a striker could be brought in, it might be too late for it to make a difference anyway. The club have no one but themselves to blame. Moses is a back-up winger, Kalou would have been a back-up striker. We shouldn't have to rely on a winger (and a bench one, at that) to score goals for us.

Forget RVP kick, if we had Bent or Hernandez we would be top hell even Jelavic am sure of it. Torres is just a -1 player as far as i'm concerned, forget this bullshit he can create chances stuff now because the team is well and truly formed to feed a lone striker now.
