Eden Hazard

There is a lot of talk about him moving this summer and we are one of the leading team in his chase.

Now if we do sign him what will happen, will Sturridge be dropped? Will Torres be dropped? Or will someone like Lampard be dropped? Obviously it would be a straight replacement for Anelka but where would he fit into our team for next year or even our future team?

Here is what I think could be some possiblities.

Next season without sturridge.
Cech
RB - Luiz - Terry - Cole
Mikel
Ramires - Meireles
Hazard - Torres - Mata

Next season without Torres.
Defence
Mikel
Ramires - Meireles
Hazard - Sturridge - Mata

Next season with 4-4-2.
Defence
Hazard - Mikel - Ramires - Mata
Sturridge - Torres

Future teams.
Courtois
RB - Luiz - Bruma - Van Aanholt
Romeu - McEachran
Hazard - Lucas - Mata
Lukaku/Sturridge

Defence
Hazard - Romeu - McEachran - Mata
Sturridge - Lukaku

Something like that? Looks good IMO.

Agree, he is very verstile so finding him a position isn't hard.

If we pay over 25m he better get a lot of game time.

I think theres alot of options because we have a few flexible players. If we had a front 3 of Sturridge/Mata/Hazard they are easily going to be able to float to whatever side they like and cause the oposition alot of issues. I don't think Torres will be dropped but depending on how his season goes I can see him and Sturridge being rotated as the central striker.

Getting him is not exactly our main problem atm so.. I wouldnt be surprised if we dont get him.. Smile

I'd rather have him go to Inter and we sign Godzer instead, since Madrid are getting Neymar.

It would be like Us vs Man U for Godzer we can do it cheers

Although if we had Hazard I defo wouldn't be complaining, if we had a double pivot DM and a front 3 ahead of that which is pretty interchangeable that would be epic.

It's only a small change but I prefer this:

Mikel - Ramires

Sutrridge - Torres - Hazard

Future:
McEachran - Romeu

Sturridge - Lukaku - Hazard

I was going to post something negative about Lukaku but I will give him a good chance as he's too young and has great potential, but I will say this and that is Sturridge for me should be the striker of the future. Although my mind may change after this season.

There is a chance, however, with proper training and the right amount of game time he can avoid that and become better than drogba, the only thing that lets him down right now is his ball skills, if I were him I would be working on them everyday.

the thing you changed is Ramires for Lampard. I definitely think Lampard gets the nod from AVB perspective if he plays 4-2-3-1. AVB doesn't like playing Ramires in the buildup, which is why Ramires has played more of Lampard role this season, and Lampard is playing deeper this season.

either Lampard or Meireles will start over Ramires.

I want to see Mata in the playmaker role, i think he can get better.

not buying into this personally, cant se us moving for hazzard even though i thnk he has tonnes of potential. although IF we were to get him i think more htne likely we keep the 4-3-3 but lamps gets the axe and mata drops into the midfeild, which really is pretty much where he plays now already

Mata as a CM?

I don't think he can pull it off, it is really difficult to make that adjustment especially if one has never played that position.

Mata cannot play in midfield a 4-3-3 flat, it wouldn't be a good idea since their will be a lot more defensive responsibility.

He could play as a CAM infront of Mikel and Ramires but not CM.
