12m pounds is so low and perfectly affordable .
if you went for him, Gallaini would enter the race and try and sign him for a plate of pizza, paid in 12 months

Haha. You'll be sorely disappointed then. I'm just an old middle-aged male fart. But she does dress up the page a bit though.

That's so true. I always like to say that time may require that you grow older, but that doesn't mean you have to grow up.

Re: Olivier Giroud
well unfortunately, France are out, hopefully he gets signed up now.
Really disappointed that he did not get the play that he deserved, blanc is an awful manager imo. He should take advice from low, incredible manager. podolski/muller/gomez, decent but not having the finest of tournaments in terms of attaching movement, what does he do? totally changes it up for younger less experienced players to show the fight and energy. France had the squad to do similar but the manager was pussy.
benz was having a poor torny, should have been replaced by giroud. voulbena should of had a chance aswell and menez
menez....giroud....valbuena/ribery
try it ffs, change it because obviously your front 3 is not working. he has lost my respect as a manager.
the French people are absolutely PISSED with blanc and rightly so, he was terrible and didnt take control of this France squad at all, an absolute mess. I'm even pissed off with this France team and I'm not even French ffs. The french nation should be ashamed.

Re: Olivier Giroud
From where I've been reading, it's just a medical and paperwork that needs to be done on the deal. I'm not sure when the medical will happen; whether it'll be within the next week or after the player's holiday, and we know what we're like with paperwork.
Would be great if this is confirmed within the next week or so, but I'm expecting it'll take a bit longer. Just because it's Arsenal, and nothing is ever straightforward.

Re: Olivier Giroud
lolllllll boss.
Need to wrap this deal up ASAP so we can start working on selling some deadweight.
And REWB, despite an average tourney from the French attack, I think you've still got to start Benzema upfront. Giroud is a great option, but Benz is a WC talent, and imo is on a whole different level compared to Giroud. He was singlehandely trying to spark the attack yesterday, but wasn't getting support from the midfield.
Do agree that Blanc was awful this tourney. Squad had alot of talent, but couldn't seem to get the best out of it.

thanks for the reply, but it doesn't matter if the player is world class or not, he should of changed the front 3 to get the most effective result. benz is having a poor torny, so change him up for giroud or at least bring giroud on at 60 mins. voulbena and menez also should have played more. benz is world class but that doesnt mean he should play no matter what. benz is not bigger than FRANCE.

Re: Olivier Giroud
medical and then official confirmation and then welcome to Arsenal videoMontpellier claim Olivier Giroud transfer to Arsenal is complete
Montpellier president Louis Nicollin claims Arsenal have completed the signing of France forward Olivier Giroud.
Giroud, part of Laurent Blanc's Euro 2012 squad which was knocked out by Spain in the quarter-finals on Saturday, is thought to command a transfer fee in the region of £13million.
The 25-year-old scored 25 goals for his club last season to help Montpellier win the Ligue 1 title, igniting the interest of several top clubs.
Last week, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger revealed a deal was "90%" complete as he looked to add the promising Frenchman to his squad, which has already been bolstered by the arrival of Germany marksman Lukas Podolski.
Speaking to French newspaper Midi Libre, Montpellier president Nicollin confirmed the transfer had now been completed after Arsenal met the player's release clause.
Nicollin said: "I wish him well."
Arsenal have not yet made any official comment, but Press Association Sport understands an announcement by the Barclays Premier League club is imminent.
Once the transfer for Giroud is formally complete, Arsenal could then look to offload some of their fringe players, including Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner and Morocco international Marouane Chamakh as well as Mexico forward Carlos Vela and Brazilian midfielder Denilson.
However, Nicollin maintained a move to take Chamakh in the opposite direction back to France was not part of the Giroud deal.
Wenger, who is at the European Championship working as a media pundit, is convinced Giroud can be a big hit at Arsenal.
"I think he has exceptional potential and will integrate very well in our collective and our way of playing," he said last week.
"He is a real team player and knows how to combine with other players and I'm sure he will do well with us."
