Cassano-Pazzini swap is done

Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini could undergo their medicals on Tuesday after Milan and Inter agreed terms over their transfers.

After an intense Monday of negotiations between all parties, a deal has reportedly been done for the Italian internationals.

Pazzini will move to Milan in exchange for Cassano, his former striker partner at Sampdoria, and €7m in cash.

I would think this is a great deal for you guys. You get a quality creative forward and 7 mil cash. It's not like Cassano is 90 minute player that will eat up tons of minutes. Either he starts and does his thing for 55 mins or he comes in at 60 mins and provides a creative spark. I don't believe he will hinder any youth development at all, maybe they can learn a thing or two from him. Just my opinion though

way too open defensively

none of milito, palacio, cassano, sneijder play any defense, guarin likes to break forth from the midfield occasionally, and cambiasso has been way off the pace all pre-season

then again Inter always goes in exactly the opposite direction of where I want them to go in terms of personnel and tactics so who the hell cares what I think

honestly, i dont understand a lot what is stramma thinking!
we have a lack in attack, we need 2 players to cover (one as a winger and one as a striker). we sell casta (a very talented young attacker who can cover for both spots). we dont sign zarate and sell pazzini and buy two 30 year old attackers (although i think they will do well but this is not what the club needs today).
we were lacking in midfield, we had 2 young players who shone last year, poli and obi. we dont buy the first and i think the second will not feature a lot unless in case of injuries, and we sign mudingay ( ) guarin de jong and gargano, add to cambiasso stanko zanetti.
in defence we need at least 2 full backs, especially if maicon is leaving.
i really cant wait for august 31 to see how we will line up

Walter Gargano has touched down in Milan ahead of his move from Napoli to Inter. “I’m joining a great club.”

The midfielder is set to undergo his medical in northern Italy after the two teams agreed a deal for the Uruguayan last night.

“I’m happy to be here,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “I’m joining a great club. They wanted me here and I’ll do my best to repay Inter’s faith in me.

“Am I afraid of the competition for a place in the team? No, I’m never scared.”

Gargano will join the Beneamata on a €1.5m loan deal, with an option to buy clause set at €5m next summer.
