According to this article, Samper has been good enough to be in the Best XI of the Next gen series so far:

Lee Seung Woo made his debut with the cadet A and was the best player on the pitch, playing tens of one twos, being the center of almost everything and scoring a nice goal from a shot outside the box in a one two. He will continue to boss it at Cadet A.... Juvenile will be his next test.

Best 10 goals of the week. At number 5 you can see Lee Seung Woo first goal in his first game with Cadet A. Great play.

Does anyone know anything about Labinot Kabashi, i think he plays in infantil? I am just interested to know how is he doing as I think he is the first albanian to ever be in Barca, although he might have Finish citizenship.

Good Luck to you cousin spanky. Where is he from?

No idea about that kid eelir.

I'm watching a juvenile A game now. Winning 2-0 at half time. Our poster tonykroos will be glad to know that ebwelle is having a cracker. He Is creating chance after chance and scored a superb goal with a scissor kick after a cross from adama.

Now babunski scores the third with a great shot.

Disaster!!!

Fifa has banned Lee Seung Woo from playing for Barca... Barca are currently working on dealing with the matter, but temporarily he cannot play for Barca at Cadete level.

It is suspected that another Spanish club or the South Korean Football Fed have put in a a complaint as Fifa rarely act on such cases.

We need to sort this...

Full article translated for English speakers:

SPORT:
"International transfers of players are only permitted when the player reaches the age of 18." This is stated in Article 19 of the "Regulations for the Status and Transfer of Players' Cup. The same article provides three exceptions to this rule, but the reality is that in Catalunya, right now, there are a significant number of players in grassroots football clubs who do not.

One of those players is Korean Seung Woo Lee, Cadet B player of Barça and unanimously considered one of the most promising players in the FC Barcelona football training. And presumably it was precisely that, a promising future, which has resulted in a few days, Lee, as he is known, can not play with his team.

That happens from that in the FC Barcelona received a request from FIFA to follow Lee not playing, not to meet any of the exceptions under the said Article 19. FIFA officially hardly ever acts in these cases, it seems quite likely that there was some other club who reports this situation to the international football governing body. It would be much chance that with the large number of players who are in the same situation or similar, FIFA had been set only in Lee.

The FC Barcelona and is now working to submit a letter to FIFA to fix the problem. One argument is that the club was the same association in South Korea, where he is the player, which requested the Barça the signing of Seung Woo Lee and two other players from that country.

For now, the only certainty is that Lee and last week did not play two friendly matches Barca B Cadet in Qatar on Saturday and did not play the league match against Mariano Poblet (7-0). For the sake of the player and how well he does happen to your game to those who ordinarily follow the Barca football training, hopefully Lee can return soon to the pitch.

Article 19 Protection of minors

http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/administration/01/06/30/78/statusinhalt_en_122007.pdf

1. International transfers of players are only permitted if the player is over
the age of 18.
2. The following three exceptions to this rule apply:
a) The player’s parents move to the country in which the new club is
located for reasons not linked to football;
b) The transfer takes place within the territory of the European
Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) and the player
is aged between 16 and 18. In this case, the new club must fulfi l
the following minimum obligations:
i) It shall provide the player with an adequate football education
and/or training in line with the highest national standards.
ii) It shall guarantee the player an academic and/or school and/or
vocational education and/or training, in addition to his football
education and/or training, which will allow the player to pursue
a career other than football should he cease playing professional
football.
iii) It shall make all necessary arrangements to ensure that
the player is looked after in the best possible way (optimum
living standards with a host family or in club accommodation,
appointment of a mentor at the club, etc.).
iv) It shall, on registration of such a player, provide the
relevant association with proof that it is complying with the
aforementioned obligations;
c) The player lives no further than 50km from a national border
and the club with which the player wishes to be registered in the
neighbouring association is also within 50km of that border. The
maximum distance between the player’s domicile and the club’s
headquarters shall be 100km. In such cases, the player must
continue to live at home and the two associations concerned must
give their explicit consent.
3. The conditions of this article shall also apply to any player who has
never previously been registered with a club and is not a national of
the country in which he wishes to be registered for the fi rst time.
4. Each association shall ensure the respect of this provision by its clubs.
5. The Players’ Status Committee shall be competent to decide on
any dispute arising in relation to these matters and shall impose
appropriate sanctions in the event of violations of this provision.

I remember Messi's dad moved with him to Barca which would allow him exception status, does Woo not have a similar arrangement?

Lee Seung Woo dad is at Barcelona, I saw him on a match. However, Messi had some trouble too. He couldn't play for some months.

Hope the Club solves this issue and Seung Woo can play again. He would be at most until he is 16 without playing I think, because he can then get a pro contract and I doubt Fifa could stop this. This would mean 1 year off the pitch.

The argentine RW Maxi Rolon had a similar problem and couldn't play for almost a year, he made his debut with Juvenil A this weekend.

Ah, but you are from the Emirates and live in Eslovenia? Btw, who is the guy in your sig I always wonder?

Juvenil A is playing vs. Chelsea in Next gen. 0-0 minute 27. Adama with some very nice plays, with the gloves he looks a proto-henry. Sandro is not playing, I guess he is injured:

We are playing with:

Ondoa
Godswill - Bagnack - Robert Costa - Lucas Gafarot
Pol Calvet - Samper - Nando
Adama - Cristian - Ebwelle

0-1 Chelsea just scored. We are not playing very well.

Born in Paraguay on 28/06/1995. The new 'Pedro'.
A carbon copy of Pedro. Ambidextrous with great shot with both legs, very hard working, decent dribler, ok pass. He even looks like Pedro from distance. Playing with Juvenile B currently and being probably their second best forward after Munir El HaddaouI.

Three teams participate in the MIC youth tournament, considered the best youth tournament in the world, held in Catalonia around this dates.
Barça has 3 teams of different ages in it.
I checked the results of two of the teams, and so far they've won all the matches. The final games are next weekend. Let's see if we can win it in some age bracket. Last season, Aspire Academy (Rosell's academy in Qatar of african kids) won most of the age brackets. This year they are also favourites, together with Brazil national squad.

What does MIC stand for? I could be mistaken, but I think this time last year I was at the airport and I remember a group of kids from London (or close by at least) travelling to Barcelona to play in some kind of tournament.

It stands for Mediterranean International Cup.
It's a youth tournament played in spring holidays break and it is special because the invited teams are from all around the world and they don't have to be clubs. So national teams like Brazil or academies like Aspire play in the tournament.

great players have played in the MIC, they made a MIC dream team in the radio and it was great with players like Neymar, Messi, Cesc, Coutinho, having played in the MIC.

Hes not good if its the Illie im thinking of, a holding midfielder right?

Then again, not good for us, doesnt mean not good for someone else.

Just seems like a filler player, nothing special. Playa his position, didnt try anything out of the ordinary but didnt seem to have any great technical or physical skill about him.

Yes. The holding midfielder.
The reports here present him like a Busquets lite, which according to your description is about right for the ignorant eye since Busquets isn’t the most spectacular player of all.
If he’s half tactically adept as Busquets is however it would be great for us (Olympiakos).
Anyway, if anybody else could provide some input it will be welcomed

He is very versatile. He has been used at many positions for the B: CB, CM, RB, even RM.
He has neat passing and is very disciplined. He is quite injury prone. Did well at the begining of the season with the B team, but after mid season Gustavo Ledes was played in front of him probably thinking for the future (currently Ilie is better but the age gap is important).

He's pretty ordinary really...

Probably one of the most ordinary players in Barca B the last couple of years.

His main quality is work-rate, which makes him very flexible. Doubt he'd be good enough to start for Olympiakos. Technically he's one of the worst in the squad.

Haven't seen much of him this year though.
