La Masia - Page 11 Empty Barça B highlights

Post by free_cat Mon Feb 20, 2012 10:38 am

I uploaded the highlights to dailymotion, they don't detect copyright problems immediately, but they might in a few hours/days, so I put it apart from la Masia so everyone can watch them before it gets removed:

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xov104_planter_sport

This weeks Barça B highlights. Couldn't watch the match, but I've heard the lads dominated the game (70% posession) away vs. the best team in Segunda, Deportivo. From the highlights, I like Oier's safe hands, which reminds me of Valdes. Deulofeu does a nice play where he hits the post, and another 2 nice plays (one ends in a soft shot, the other in a JDS shot that hits the post at 3:10). In the minute 2:50, there's a great pass from JDS to Sergi Roberto or Rafinha, that misses the one on one. Finally Barça B scored after a JDS free-kick that hit the woodwork, Deulofeu shot, GK stopped, and Kizz favourite, Armando scored the goal. JDS was sent off for two yellows.
Also, Armando and Sergi Gomez are atrocious in deportivo's second goal, and Rodri doesn't track Manuel Pablo in their first goal. Femenia had to fill in as RB because we missed a lot of defenders that are with the A team (Muniesa, Bartra Montoya), so all in all, it's a good result and performance, although we could have tied.

Free, if you like, you can make a thread for each game with highlights and after a few days when they die Dani or I will merge it.

Sounds like a good plan.

Beeegh, too much spanish flags in that picture.

Adama is a winger for the Cadet A and already has played for the juvenil B and I think A too. Adama is soooooooo fast. He makes Tello look slow. He is the catalan black Tello Very Happy . But it's way too early to say how he'll turn out, mainly because he doesn't look very, very technical, although in his case we can't doubt his age (16 years) because he was born in catalonia.

I posted a Video for him, last month [couldn't find it :S].. he played 15 minutes for Juvenil A, created 4+ chances !! 2 assists...

================

via @youngcules

La Masia sensation & Spain U16 winger Adama Traore (15) spoke with Spanish sports daily, AS. Some excerpts from the interview coming up.

Adama: Undisputable right winger for Cadet A & Spain U16? "Yes, I'm very happy. Its a price to have debutd with Spain in recent friendlies."

"Im a winger that can provide another alternative. I have the speed & strength my parents gave me, but I learn the tiki-taka everyday."

"I was born in Barcelona, next to the Camp Nou. My 1st team was Florida, then I went to L'Hospitalet. Then I joined Barca at just 7."

"My parents are from Mali. They came to work in Spain, 30yrs ago. My father works in a shop changing tires. My mother is a maid."

Immigrated kids have more weight in NT? "Its normal. Im from here, I like playin with this team. My intention is to play with Spain".

Sure he does, he was born here.

Here a video of his debut with Juvenil A last january. He played 15 minutes and made like 4 dangerous plays. You can see them from 1:38 to 2:45.

After, there is a highlight of the Cadet A, where two very good pospects debuted with Cadet A: Paik and Alexis Meva.

Damn... kid is like lightning. He really is quite a bit faster than Tello. 2 assists in 15 minutes? He was raping them, surely he'll start next game.

Was the 9 Dongou? Not bad either lol... understand why some people say he's better than Messi at his age.

I think Adama is back with Cadet A.

Yes, 9 is Dongou, but I really don't understand Graham Hunter saying he better than Messi at 16. I think Hunter was high when he said that. IMO he is not even the best player at juvenil A (Miguel Angel is better). Actually, I don't see much future for Dongou at Barça, he is not our type of player, although he could become a poor man's Drogba.

This week's Barça B highlights:

We lost 0-1, Kizz favourite scored an own goal. Nice 3 first chances, all created by Deulofeu. Rodri, as usual, missed a sitter (header).

In this other highlights, there are a few interesting plays that are not in the other (and vice versa). Specially a nice Deulofeu play from corner (at 2:05):

Great stuff, free. Obvious statement: the kids should start winning again. A good remainder of the season could bring them to 7th or even 6th place, but I don't see them do what they were able to achieve last year.

Is there a real threat of relegation if Barca B lose all the players they seem they might to the first team?

Montoya, Bartra,Muniesa, JDS are all going up, and Cuenca and Tello are already there, Marti Riverola will leave...

The threat is there. But I guess they will promote the best/oldes players from Juvenil A and splash the cash with some other youngsters if needed, like they did with Rodri and Femenia (although these two sucked so far).

I've got plenty of confindence in some Juvenil A players, especially Miguel Angel Sainz (winger, CM), Bañuz (GK), and Bagnack (a Touresque CB).

I really hope they dont get relegated, playing in the Segunda really helps because the level is higher.

But yeah, im quite concerned.

Where did they sign Rodri from? By all accounts he seems useless.

If they going sign youngsters, surely they should be very talented because we can simply find our own for nothing.

Bagnack? Is he the guy that played centerback against Ajax in the next gen? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

Rodri was signed from Sevilla B. Was a top prospect (U-19 or U-21 international) a couple of years back.

Yes, I think Bagnack played CB against ajax, but the black one, not the one that made the mistakes (Ayala, who for age I guess will be promoted next season, he is also good but mistake prone).

I see, well cant really blame them then. If he was seen as something good.

Yeah, I remember him. He looks decent, but he hoofs the ball a bit too much. Seems eager to go long.

And yeah, aside from Ayala's mistakes, he was good, though those mistakes were quite terrible.
