Yeah it's starting to look grim now. Might even see cases pop out of nowhere in other teams

I read it 12 somewhere. They have asked for reinforcements. wonder how would they continue with this. They could have changed the venue to a better one. Changing it from one Covid affected country to another makes no sense.

I seriously don't know 1 Venezuelan player in that lineup. Disgusted that they allowed this to continue.
All set up for Nerman and Brazil guys, no point in watching this tournament

Surprised this is being shown free in the UK.
Also the front 3 of Neymar-Richarlison-Gabriel jesus has to be the most mismatched front 3 brazil has ever put on.

I was thinking about this during the Euros, and I'm not sure if it's statistically true or not, but I'm kind of surprised by how many players born in the mid to late 80s are still starting for their national teams. They're 32-35 and still starting. It feels like the prior generations were phased out a lot earlier.
Obviously the improvement in sports science helps. At the same time though it feels like there's a dearth of upcoming elite talent. Can you even argue anyone has a golden generation coming? France? Maybe England?

Some of them are playing purely because there is no one better than them. Which is concerning. But some of them actually are once in a life time generational players for their nations. Like Pandev or Hamsik. Macedonia won't produce a better player than him and i think they know it too.

Look at Netherlands and Spain. The steep decline is a bit of a shock. I mean it's not even about Xavi or Iniesta for Spain, it's the likes of Cesc, Silva, Mata, Villa, Torres, Cazorla all retiring and then being replaced by the likes of Rodri and Pedri. Same with Netherlands and they stand out more because of their football heritage. Netherlands are a nation that has produced world class footballers at every generation from the days of Van Basten to Robben. Now Depay is the closest thing to a good dutch footballer and even he is half the player. Germany are finished too.
France have a great 11 but i wouldn't say they have a generation coming up. They struggle to play a 3rd midfielder next to kante and Pogba since the level of those 2 is so much superior to other mids. Tolisso is nothing special but because of Aouar's awful form he has to play.
England actually do have a golden generation coming through. Probably the only European nation.
